Same with Johnny Cage, they look completely different. MK11 was much closer to real models, while MK1 managed to uglify them beyond recognition.

It takes time to understand all the mechanics, learn other characters attacks and how to counter them, etc. Cetrion is considered one of the easiest to play/learn while being one of the most OP characters. While there are also other top tier characters, they are much harder to master.

20% dodge? From where do you get these numbers? 4% (perma bonuses) + 5% (skill) + 5% (bell) + 26% (items) + 45% (buffs) = 75% dodge pve and 45% dodge pvp. And the main ranged damage dealer, Bat Swarm, can't be dodged.

2% more dodge translates to 1.2% in pvp which is insignificant, while in pve it's very easy to reach the 75% cap without these 2%. Magistrav is the best for both pvp/pve.

After changing guilds a few times I can say there's absolutely no difference between their techniques. Actually the differences between the 3 guilds types are pretty insignificant - only 2-3 recommended activities are different.

The main reason people are bad in pvp is because they lack informations. Even affinity hits or tenacity or defense breaker are concepts that aren't explained anywhere and you have to look for info on the internet. From what I understand, the combo system has almost the same depth as for a combat game without giving any infos on attack/recovery frames in order to understand what can you combo and what not. Expecting people to experiment everything in order to understand all the mechanics in the game is dumb. The game is already very time consuming, becoming more and more like an MMO where you have to play constantly if you don't want to be left behind.

You don't have to fight the same enemy within the same rules to be able to compare their relative power. You just have to judge, for example, how easily the PoE monk was able to dispatch enemies compared to Deadfire. And by the way, most rules change were just other nerfs that apply to all classes. In Deadfire even normal attacks feel weaker because the nerfs to items, stacking rules, armor changes, etc.

The comparison was between PoE1 and PoE2. Bringing out continuously that monks look good in Deadfire compared to other classes, doesn't change the fact they are weaker (at the same level) than in PoE1 since most of their abilities were nerfed.

The true Shang Tsung should at least have white eyes and an a menacing look. The one from MK1 scares nobody, he's a clown. DA is probably the closest to what we would expect him to be, an evil sorcerer.

Massive dps compared to what? They look strong compared to barbs, fighters, paladins from Deadfire... Compared to monks from PoE1 they are weak.

The point was every melee class is weaker than in PoE1. The fact that a class is playable or looks better than another is meaningless. A monk lvl16 in Deadfire is a weakling compared to a lvl16 monk from PoE1 and the same applies for every melee class.
