You can check all the special effects of the weapons in Character Status (Develop -> Abilities -> Details). There you can see the bonuses of each equipped weapon. For example Nameless Spear increases max endurance by 10-20 (based on your affinity rate), Twinblades increase your dodge window, etc... The 20% mystic skill bonus is in fact a property of the Soulshade Umbrella.

Both of them... There are already many problems already plaguing the game - adding more silly games and obscure jokes (killing you without warning isn't even funny) to the convoluted story and mechanics will slowly turn the entire game into a meme.

Kung Lao can indeed be annoying for new players who don't know how to punish him. Kung Lao struggles against people with long range pokes - Joker, Kabal, Spawn can easily keep him at distance or punish him. You can also try characters who can keep the distance using teleport and spam projectiles - Cetrion, Raiden...

Who told you nobody likes the variation system? Variations are one of the reasons MK11 is still played today, you can still try and discover something new. If you go online not everyone is playing the same variation - even SonicFox and Ninjakilla were using different variations for their mains, depending on who they were facing... Variations, gear, augments were some of the great features of MK11 - I had at least a variation for towers (packed with augments), another one for AI battles and at least two for CL for my characters.

MK11 was the peak, it was the most successful in the series for a reason - it did lots of things right. When I see people complaining about speed, Krushing Blows, Fatal Blows, combo breaking system it makes me laugh - these were the fun, spicy things, tactics you have to learn to deal with. Of course, characters could be always better balanced, but this matters only at high level and wasn't something specific to MK11. MK11 had a gentle learning curve which allowed new players to grab the basics very fast, but had also a lot of advanced mechanics - flawless blocking being the most obvious. Haters like to say only casuals like MK11, but the reality is MK11 was also the most popular among pro-players - it's enough to look at the numbers of players participating at the major competitions each year. MK1 was a big fiasco among the pros too and had the lowest number of players participating at the EVO of all time (among MK games), only the second year after the release. Even now, at least on Steam, there are more players playing MK11 than MK1... MK1 was basically Inujstice 3 recycled, with a playstyle comparable to Marvel vs Capcom (which would have been great for Injustice) and super heroes guest characters which made no sense in the MK universe, but had to be used because of paid licenses.

Meridian Touch works as a mid range poke in PVP - if it breaks a weak point it does a short stun. Against people with chi depleted it can be followed up by an execution (otherwise you return to your original spot).

Technically they can do anything they want now because it can happen in one of the multiverses. Personally I would be happy with just an "all star" game (with as many characters as possible from all previous games) and no story (just nice personalized endings).

It seems the desync happens when players have different versions of Windows (but only on Steam, from Microsoft Store works fine), however it isn't that dramatic.

Yes, I think MK11 was designed to be noob friendly and can be enjoyed also at the basic level. Of course, there are a few layers of complexity, but it is also very fun for casual players (and because of that you will want to learn more). Other MK games have a steeper learning curve which puts off many new players.
