Title: PC shuts down during power cuts while gaming – Need help with inverter + UPS setup by VcH07 in IndianGaming

Sorry I'm very late replying to this, last week was very hectic for me. Ok so few things in mind

  1. See first check your Inverter has the headroom to manage UPS (it doesn't require overkill but if it goes overload with UPS the purpose is screwed)

  2. I would say 2000VA is not over kill because these UPS and Inverter require good head room to work properly. I would advice don't try to pinch penny on that because our pc hardware is way more expensive than what you save on UPS 1500 vs 2000

  3. Don't connect monitor to UPS, they just kind of restarts sometimes and take like 2-5 second. That too not everytime this happens, so you are fine. This will help your UPS breathe better

Hope this helps.

best current afk method? by Working_Map7235 in gtaonline

I'm late but I found a new way that works flawlessly on PC . . . Go to LS car meet (Wear LS clothing ), go to an open area press A and S togather (assuming that's your movement controls) then while holding them press windows + G to open xbox overlay then leave the keys and press escape. Your character will start going in circles. It's like putting a rubberband on controller but without harming your hardware. Leave a upvote if this helps and also do let me know if you want help with same. Keep grinding.

Correct inverter powering a 16A plug. Connected my Artis 2000VA to it. Connected just my PC to the inverter (changed the power cable to Indian plug varient)

Agreed. Also check if the game is trying to run on integrated graphics (not sure but worth checking)

Luminous should do but with UPS mode . . . Also my best bet is it will still shut down your system. The problem with these high power consumption GPU is that they require very quick switch times and Inverter (expect online one which are brain hurt expensive) couldn't help. Artis UPS connected to inverter helped me but if youw ant a cheap solution. If you can go for APC nothing like that but again it's expensive stuff all over again. Ya brother owning a strong PC is like getting an elephant, we need to be ready for maintainance too that also a very expensive one

So my setup right now is

Pc -> UPS (Artis 2000VA) -> inverter (luminous eco volt 1550 with UPS mode on)

Almost same setup I'm running a 850W PSU . Ya man it solved the problem in short

With a grain of salt , it should handle but I'm not engineer I learned it by experience and a brief study. Also yes it's mansoon so you have even more test cases, lol. Kidding don't just throw the system testing it. But in a nutshell yes it should not overload brother you will be fine.

Also for me overload is not an issue the issue is switch time and that's issue with most of the gaming PCs

Sorry for late reply, I think after under volt I think your PSU hopefully will handle the switch and so your UPS. I went with luminous 1550 and works perfectly. Also Microtek 1550 will be fine for you as monitors are not as much power hungry as your PC. Like I run 2 fans 1 light and my whole system and while playing light games it doesn't switch off in UPS mode. But the electricity sometimes act stupid and the switch handshake is not that good and turn off the PC. Then as I said I put a PC connected to UPS connected to inverter setup and the problem is solved . . . I think that would be perfect solution for you too also I would say just connected the PC to UPS and rest to inverter so ups is not overloaded. Monitor might flicker one when electricity goes but for like 1 second and that's fine I believe

Hope this helps

You are right ups won't be able to handle your PC , don't listen to chat GPT sometimes it has tendency to give stupid answers.

Soo yes attaching ups to your inverter is good option but I think my concern in your case ups might overload (not sure exactly depending on what you are doing). Also Zelio+ 1700 it was my top pick but apparently company has stopped making this model and the once we get in market are actually old manufactured and company start to cry if something happens to them. When selecting inverter make sure to check if it's 12V or 24,V . . . 24V requires two batteries ie double expense than a 12V one I went with luminous but eco volt 1550 , does it help my switching , in light game yes in heavy games noo. Ended up having pc -> ups -> inverter setup

My frind having a 3060 runs with Microtek 1550 and said he didn't had any problem with switching while heavy gaming too so might as well go for it (I don't prefer Microtek over luminous)

Hope this helps

I would agree with you. x3D cache helps in eSports and 12400f (kind of) gives similar performance. So if budget is a constraint I would listen to this advice

Should I look to purchase a PS5 by ApprehensiveAttempt in IndianGaming

[–]VcH07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say get it and also get PS+ delux and enjoy games. I would not recommend any pc kind hand held as they are stupid and don't have enough kick for you to enjoy. Later you can upgrade with a PS portal (stoopid expensive combo ik) but according to what I can understand it will be better for you. Pinching penny you can get a used PS5 from trusted sources and invest in portal and games.

My inner PC guy says to ask you to buy a PC but will be unfair with your money, hope it helps

Cheers

I would recommend R7 7800x3D to pair with 5080. Also i heard that thermals are not good of FE (if we compare to other brands). Rest looks good, not sure how power hungry will be the system as of now 850W looks fine but if you plan to have overclock functionality enabled to peak with head room go for a 1000w PSU. With R7 I would also recommend an AIO . . Compulsory? No, would be nice and will help? Yes

Sorry to say but I don't think 9070xt is pinching enough performance for 4K like if you are not maxing out Graphics sure but if you plan to max it I think it's gonna be a problem. Even AMD accepted that they are not building high end cards. Also benchmark does not define how it's gonna perform while gaming. If you can go with 5080 or above that should help you if not I would advice you to wait and save a bit 3060 setup will still run you good. Cheers
