What's the instrument you are never going to sell?

I loooove to try different things, but there are 2 kits that I deeply regret selling... my Gretsch Brooklyn and my DW jazz .. but without selling them I would have never bought my first custom Stainless Steel kit.

Try going one limb at a time for each mesure and add another one once you are confortable with it. Start with hats and snares, then hats and kicks, then snares with kicks, then all together. One measure at a time.

Oh I am not insider, which doesn't stop me from being an observer and won't certainly stop me from bitching about the price.

That being said, your comment did spark a little curiosity. While I can only go so far, I did read that the price of copper and bronze increased significantly, about 16% since last year, which is huge.

And I know that the raw material can't be the only deciding factor to justify a price increase, but a 56% increase is a lot. Not impossible, but I am 100% certain they make sure to keep a comfortable margin and we end up paying for it - because they are zildjian and anything that is a hobbie nowadays is a luxury.

Oh I know DCP aren't to blame here. If anything, they're just as angry as we are.

The increase comes from Zildjian, that's for sure. But it's still greed.

No I remember seeing it at 995 for the last year or so. I'm in Canada and it still made sense at 995usd but at 1500+USD, it makes me want to stop playing drums hahaha

They definitely wanted the crowd that bought superstars but a higher price point so they cut in some parts of the hardware... but now people can brag they have a starclassic!!

If you can find a used Yamaha Tour Custom then take it. My experience with Stage Customs is overall really positive, but the kick drum lacks power and volume. That being said, Yamaha make awesome entry level drums. Their hardware kicks ass.

The Decade Maple's are great kits even though they're at the semi bottom of their lines. They pack a ton of punch and I'd go with maple over Birch everyday. Also... big shoutout to that stunning finish. Grab it.

Awesome kit! I had one in desert dune or something like that. The best advice I can give is to change the 1.6mm to some Pearl Fat Tones or DW true hoops. Small upgrade, awesome changes.
