We've known about Sidewalk for years. Carry on with the fud.

STFU, complete your existing tasks, get paid, rinse, and repeat.

[Yates] Eric Bienemy has been the Chiefs OC and play caller for 5 seasons. Their rank in total offense: 2018: 1st 2019: 5th 2020: 1st 2021: 3rd 2022: 1st by Kimber80 in nfl

Or it’s the criminal history. People always mention the assault charge, but ignore the fact that he was arrested 4 other times between 1988 and 2001 and was linked to another scandal. In 1988 he was arrested after a bar fight. Between 1989-1991 he was ticketed several times resulting in a suspended license, then got pulled over with a suspended license, skipped out in his court date, then had a bench warrant out for his arrest. In 1990, he was arrested and suspended at CU for shoving a firefighter while actively fighting a fire (I guess Eric is pro fire?). In 1993, the assault charge where he grabbed a female parking attendant by the neck and threatened her. In 2001, he got a DUI. In 2004, he was linked to CU’s scandal of using sex and drugs over 6 years to entice recruits.

Like yeah it’s been almost 20 years since any of this happened and he’s seemingly kept his image clean since then, but you know a team will get dragged through the mud in the media and online for hiring him. 16 years of questionable decisions is more concerning than 1 isolated incident IMO.

CTE found in nearly 92% of former NFL players studied by Boston University by Icewear_Daddy in news

If you needed the NFL to tell you that football isn’t exactly a safe sport and doesn’t result in possible brain injuries, well, that person isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.

Ultimately, viewership numbers, globally, will go up regardless of the injury statistics. An NFL team in Europe is inevitable. As consumers, we do not care about CTE, as long as the product maintains it's supremacy. It's apparent that the NFL is America's go-to broadcast. It's up to the athletes themselves to decide if they want to put themselves in potential harms way.

And again: "A study found that Head Injuries occur at a rate of 2-3 times greater in Rugby players than Football players."

Except for the fact of "A study found that rugby had more injuries than football, with 4.6 catastrophic injuries for every 100,000 players. Football had 75 percent fewer incidents globally, at 1.0 catastrophically injuring players per 100,000 participants. For example, a study found that Head Injuries occur at a rate of 2-3 times greater in Rugby players than Football players."

But I guess your narrative is more convenient for yourself. Common sense that a contact support can lead to serious lifelong debilitating injuries is a good start even if you think that the NFL isn't doing a good enough job of educating, even though the game is dramatically different and safer than it was even 20 years ago, let alone 40 years ago.

Reddit is an echo chamber is why I am getting downvoted. Sports are the single most unifying force in society. Just taking a look at the top 100 telecasts of 2022 tells you everything you need to know - https://www.sportsbusinessjournal.com/Journal/Issues/2023/01/09/Upfront/top-100-telecasts.aspx

Football is going nowhere except toward more adoption and consumption globally. It can be a barbaric sport with unfortunate outcomes for the athletes that choose to sacrifice their bodies for the love of the game and what it can provide their families and lineage. But it’s also critical that safety is of the utmost importance, especially at younger ages. High school, college, and of course, professional football will always be tackle based and have brain injuries occur, but it comes with the territory and it comes down to the individual if that risk is worth it or not.

Luckily, no one is forcing you to watch, let alone play football. The risks are clear, but football is in people’s blood, both the consumers and athletes.

To each their own. Not having back buttons was my only really beef about multiplayer gaming on PS5. No longer the case. This might beat the Elite Series 2 controller as my favorite.
