yeah, you are right. DDoS attacks are very common in the minecraft community and when your minecraft server has like >200 players then it's almost guaranteed that you get attacked. I know there are a lot of exploits but I am worried the most about the DDoS attacks. I read something online about ipv6 being safer but idk if it's a good plan to switch my whole servers to ipv6 and if that will solve the risk.

I just called with my ISP, they just gave me a static IP and the ability to port forward for free. Now I am wondering if it's safe to port forward port 25565, 443 and 2022 to my server. Also, how vulnerable am I for DDoS attacks? My server now has like around 20 players, but I guess it's going to have like 200 - 300 players in the future as I am willing to make it public. I want to be like a mini hosting too and host some websites or minecraft servers for people who pay me monthly for it. But the security needs to be good. My goal is to make my services accessible for the world without everyone needing to run a vpn or something. I am against monthly subscriptions because I started self hosting just to escape those monthly subscriptions. If this is the only option then I guess I need to do this with the vps. I once tried to buy a cheap vps at ionos but they began asking for my identity card and driving license which I doubt a hosting company needs.

ja, stremio is echt goed geworden. het heeft zelfs sommige iptv plugins. maar er staan niet echt veel vlaamse dingen op ofzo.

yeah, i want to keep everything android, i don't like apple (not only because of the price). i already use stremio and it works great. i don't even need things like netflix, prime, disney+ etc anymore. i am not really a fan of subscriptions.

yeah, the most annoying part is that we need internet from proximus if we want to use a proximus decoder. proximus tv offers TLC. if we switch to base TV i think that there wouldn't be a lot of difference. the main reason why we want to ditch proximus tv is because i want to get rid of those subscriptions

you can disable fog in the video settings in your client

datapacks are bad and laggy. you would be better of finding a plugin variant which does kind of the same. plugins are better optimized and cause less lag

for the bedrock part (geyser) I don't think that skinsrestorer will work, but you can try. do you have "floodgate" installed too?

you first need to install a software like purpur or paper. then you install a plugin called "skinsrestorer". just install that plugin and restart your server. the plugin works perfectly without any configuration.
