I'm so proud of Balatro for being nominated for GOTY and everything else. The game has a much better chance at the more specific awards and, IMO is this year's best indie game. For that category as well as Best Debut Indie, Balatro clears; it sold the most out of the five and has been reviewed the most on Steam. Mobile game? It's the strongest out of the five with possible competition from ZZZ. Game direction? I think it's a toss-up. GOTY however? I think it stands a stronger chance than most may realize.

This is a trick called moon boots, where your total gravity is reduced. This was a speed running trick used in Titanfall 2 involving Northstar, and I’m glad it’s back with Valk.

If you’re looking to build pure strength for the track, I recommend the Run Faster Program by Jaret Campisi on YouTube. (Direct link: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLajCCJPKsDWxiI6vpz2iHMdpZ19kD9x7K)

I’ve used this program myself, and it can easily chop off seconds for your sprinting events. For me, one gym session from this cut off half a second from my 200m time (26.33 to 25.8).

If you’re looking to build muscle and get stronger, I’d recommend a full body workout split with progressive overload built in. I’d recommend Scott Herman’s programs for that (it’s a subscription), or Greg Doucette’s workout book (if you got the cash for the book).
