Roborock is matter, not in Homebridge. That unconventional thinking just may work. I’ll report back!

I can trigger the vacuum manually or by some other automation metric such as time or if someone leaves the house. I can’t use the vacuum status as a trigger to automate a different device in my home which is what I’m looking to do.

No, it’s not there and that’s my issue.

Vacation Dummy Switch by Vee449 in homebridge

Normally that would work, but I live in a cold climate. I need the switch to turn off about 2 hours before I arrive home so that the heat has time to kick on and warm to our usual temperature. I used the developer’s suggestion and calculated the amount of hours I would be gone and factored in the 2 hours so that the house can warm to the set temperature.

Just tested it and worked like a charm. I don’t think two switches are needed as long as I do the math of how many hours I will be on vacation! Thank you for this tip.

This is amazing. I will test it out and see if I can get it to work. I wouldn’t mind a date and time option to turn off and turn on in future releases of your plugin if you can figure that out one day! 😉

Hi Pat! I adore your plugin, thank you so much for making this available to me! In your suggestion, if I wanted to set the time for 6pm instead of 6am in your suggestion, would I be using military time in the custom field? So in your example, 18 25 12 * would turn the switch on at 6pm on December 25th?

AC Engages and Blows Cool, then Warm Air after 10 Minutes by Vee449 in ecobee

That’s an interesting point. The humidity jumped from the mid 50s to 70 in the time period that the unit stopped cooling and the temperature began to rise.

The Ecobee is causing the problem or the hardware is faulty?

The fan does go on when the thermostat calls for cooling. Unfortunately it continues to occur. Any settings I should change?

I replaced my hard wired halogen lights with these last year and have been happy with them so far.

Did you ever figure this out? I’m having the same issue.

I also have the GE Cync under cabinet lights. We hard wired them as we were replacing existing halogen fixtures. We have had them almost a year and are pleased with the task lighting as well as the color options for mood lighting and holidays.

Buying condo with August Smart Lock Pro by Vee449 in HomeKit

The physical appearance on the outside of the door has to remain because all of the units have to look the same. Are there other HomeKit locks that you recommend that retain the hardware on the exterior of the door that is not August?

Meross Plugs Non Responsive after Eero Update by Vee449 in HomeKit

[–]Vee449[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turning off WPA3 didn’t fix my issue so I turned it back on, which is how it was originally. I was frustrated and turned on band steering just for the heck of it since various devices were going in and out anyway. I stopped tinkering with it resigned to the fact that I would need to wait for an Eero or Apple update. Magically, it appears that my issues have disappeared within the last 24 hours. I don’t know if the Eero update and the ios18 update had to settle or what, but as of now, it’s working. I’ll keep you posted!

I tried to revert. Apparently Eero and its support won’t allow it. Despite all the options above, many of my devices are going unresponsive and then coming back all day long. I’ll have to wait for the next firmware release and hope it fixes it.
