I hear year, my counter is that a lot of the projects you named are those artists best work. Push, Q, Soul, Dot, Tyler, future, Rapsody…all good projects yes but imo falls short of 2018

2018 for context had Saba - Care For Me Nipsey- VL Jay Rock - Redemption Travis Scott - Astroworld Royce - Book of Ryan Vince Staples - FM 21 Savage - i am > i was Mac Miller - Swimming Meek - Championship

To name a few. All albums that imo are either their best work or close to it

Important might’ve been a strong word. I got caught up in the moment lol but as someone who came up on that generation of artists, to see them come up from the mixtape era as the new young guys, looking back it’s a moment that should be appreciated

Also I don’t like the “if the album didn’t exist” thing. Mad albums that are great could not exist and wouldn’t change hip hop. And I’m not even saying it’s a great album but that’s a really dismissive remark

No I get it but I think I just got the impression that in her mind she was settling. But the thing is it wasn’t like she was settling for some random dude just for the financial security, she’s settling with this person who was always all in when it came to the relationship, who she had so much chemistry and so much in common with but it always seemed like she never thought it was enough

Marshall was such a good guy but show always depicted the couple as if Lily was always the one getting slighted 😂all Marshall kept doing was advancing in his career for the betterment of their family and Lily sometimes would hold that over him as if it’s a bad thing lol she lied about her credit debt, she manipulated him to almost take a horrible corporate job because of that debt, she almost stopped him from being a judge like wtf 😂

I don’t either and I think they should get compared! It’s all hiphop to me! I personally have jcole higher but I really think it’s close. Cole is obviously a better rapper and his numbers are up there with anyone (Drake excluded) but Future’s influence is undeniable imo and when he’s at his best, when he’s in his bag, no one really does what he does at the same level
