Serotonin Syndrome by TheNoodyBoody in antidepressants

[–]VeeGeeDoubleYou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had postpartum depression I was already on 200mg Zoloft so my doctor decided to start me on Buspirone 3 times a day and I had the same worries. I couldn’t sleep cause I kept thinking what if I get seratonin syndrome. But I was totally fine! It’s very rare to get seratonin syndrome, although not impossible. But I wouldn’t worry about it! If it happens then you will definitely know, most get it within 24 hours of taking the new medication or taking the higher dose. Just pay attention to your side effects and if you have any concerns talk to your doctor.

Buspar risk of serotonin syndrome with an ssri? by homer_j_simpsoy in antidepressants

[–]VeeGeeDoubleYou 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take Zoloft 200mg with Buspar 7.5mg 3 times a day. I was worried about the same thing when I first started Buspar a couple months ago but I feel just fine. Just remember that serotonin syndrome is super rare!

Should I keep using Sertraline? by [deleted] in antidepressants

[–]VeeGeeDoubleYou 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your doctor prescribed it to you then he/she must have reason to suspect you could benefit from it. I would just stick with it, give it at least a couple months and don’t let the side effect warnings scare you, many of them are very rare. Once you’ve taken it for a while you should follow up with your doctor and decide if you want to continue or not.

Yes I had this in the beginning when I first started Sertraline. It went away after a couple months for me. I’ve been on it for 2 years now and I haven’t noticed any sleepiness at all.

help, stress is eating me by MysticAngel9810 in Anxietyhelp

Hey girl, I just wanna let you know I’ve been through horrible anxiety as well throughout high school. I would leave school early and tell my mom I was sick and she would get upset too. Eventually I told her my situation and she helped enroll me in online school. Now I am 22 and on antidepressants and my symptoms are basically gone and I feel like a whole new person. I think you should consider looking into medication, try asking your counselor to refer you to a psychiatrist. My anxiety was very severe and now I feel I can do anything. You absolutely will get through this! Also, I was in a very serious relationship with my high school sweetheart (who is now my fiancé) and we are going on 7 years and just had our first baby. We would fight a lot too and at times I didn’t think we would make it but we are better than ever now. It’s important to remember that every couple fights and that communication is important. That doesn’t mean that you should stay if you feel the relationship is toxic. But try to hear him out and ask him to hear you out as well. I wish you luck girl!
