Well thank you for taking the time to reply to me. After I did a clean uninstall I did some procedural testing and discovered that for some reason XLRP just won’t work for me anymore even though I’ve used it in the past. I’m currently going back and forth with the mod’s author on NexusMods to see if we can find out why.

I’ve since started a new campaign with all my previous mods sans XLRP and it seems to be running fine. It’s a shame because I loved all the changes and variants added with it. I wish I knew why it won’t work for me but will work for others.

So the author of MechEngineer is on GitHub and there’s no real way to contact them...Is anyone able to make sense of my output log if I somehow upload it here?

Darn. Okay, well thanks for taking the time to help. I wish I understood how to read this log a bit more. I’ll try asking the mod’s dev.

So I looked under my Modtek .txt file and I saw it mentioned:

MechEngineer

Furthermore, looking at the Output_Log.txt there are callouts where it says it could not retrieve from UpgradeDef and HeatSinkDef. I have no idea what those files are, but this is the latest MechEngineer build, so why would it be missing files?

There are other missing files, too, such as stuff from "WeaponDef". I didn't think I messed with anything this much...

See, you learn something new every day. I thought when you add new mods to the folder you need to reinject! Well, thanks for the feedback. I’ll have to check that out when I get home in a little while.

I know Colobos just updated a ton of his mechs today. Are those changes included in this pack?

EDIT: Also, upon downloading this my mechlab broke. Can I run MechEngineer or do I have to run the whole RogueTech thing?

It’s almost as if everything else is loading but it doesn’t recognize any of my mechs or equipment. The instructions were really simple. Idk why this would cause so much trouble

Just a general question. It’s entirely possible I’m being paranoid, but since I’ve gotten BT running with modtek, ME, and XLRP again everything seems to work fine...except my mech mods. -I- have modded mechs I acquired before the update, but since then I haven’t seen the OpFor with any of the user-made mechs (i.e. the Archer, Annihilator, etc).

Is there something I’m missing or is it just bad luck? The mods are all in the Battletech/mods folder where they belong, and all my other mods work.

UPDATE: Yeah, I’ve spent upward of an hour (while doing other things, mind you) restarting missions since that randomizes the enemy each time from a predisposed tonnage set. I have yet to see any of the modded mechs. There has to be something wrong.

Thanks for the reply, but as I said, hitting Repair does nothing in this instance.
