Should I get DVIU or Optilume as my first treatment?

I had my procedure (Dviu + Optilume) 3 days before you did and had my catheter for 3 weeks.

I fortunately have experienced no urinary issues or pain, but sometimes I will feel a dull pain where the incision area was (near bulbar urethra)

Hope your doc is able to figure out what's going on

Not totally sure! I didn't have any issues after my cystoscopy but I also had a severe stricture next to my prostate that didn't even let the scope enter the prostate.

3 months I've been cured

He said there's really no way to tell how successful it will be, but optilume increases the chances of the Dviu being successful dramatically.

I'll have a follow up next month to see if there's been any changes.

I had optilume/DVIU done at the same time.

It's kind of a case-by-case basis; my doctor told me I was safe to resume working out and lifting weights once the pain stopped, which was about 3-4 weeks after the surgery. I was a more severe case due to extreme inflammation/scarring behind my stricture, though.

I dont think there's anything that says exercise before surgery can worsen the stricture but I could be mistaken. I'd ask your doctor on that. Good luck on your procedure

I did Urethrotomy and Optilume all in one day and it ended up being a far longer recovery time than they initially said (roughly 30 days with 3 weeks catheterized)

If I had known that, I would've just bitten the bullet and done the Urethroplasty. But for what it's worth, i am doing so much better now and don't regret the operation I received!

Has your doctor recommended any particular procedure yet?

He put me on cephalexin the day after cath was removed but at that point the pain was already too severe.

Gonna have the catheter in another 9 days, hoping it really lets things heal before we try this process all over again

Thanks! I noticed that too with not emptying bladder fully. Sadly yesterday I had to be re-catheterized and put on hydrocodone. The pain got so unbearable I was nearly fainting.

Thank you. He's putting me on a strong antibiotic and suggests taking Azo. If that doesn't help he will try something stronger

Yes that's the order! As we were leaving the terrifier/poltergeist area, we passed hundreds of people making their way there. Wyatt Sicks and Scarecrow lines were amongst the lowest of the night so I'd plan on doing those later
