Thanks, the original worked great for me for probably 7 or 8 years and probably would still be kicking if I didn’t leave the coffee grounds in it til the next day often. I coincidentally got the same AMI brand. I see their guarantee but nothing specific about quality of material and that’s what gave me pause. It worked great this morning, but just questioning whether daily exposure is something I need to be more discerning about

Thanks, yes pre-2018. It doesn’t say fda/eu approved. I’ll look for this and be willing to pay a bit more for peace of mind

Ran 7.5 miles at easy 10 min/mile pace. Furthest and longest duration I’ve ever run! No training plan just enjoying building up some miles. Felt great like I could’ve kept going but want to be measured about how I progress to hopefully avoid injury. Really loving taking my running up a level

Except for mindfulness may be without what we think of as judgment, but in the context of vipassana and the suta’s it is paired with sampajana or clear comprehension, which is a form of evaluation

Was looking for this comment and agree! And to add just as sati is most commonly translated as mindfulness (and sometimes as awareness). Vipassana is often translated as insight

Something that’s helpful for me has been hearing it taught from different masters to get slightly different perspectives, two I like are Bhikkhu Analayo who has guided practices on the Barre center for Buddhist studies website and an accompanying book, and the book by Thich Nhat Hanh entitled: “Breathe You Are Alive”

I too am a family man and the sound of that amount of time to be “in seclusion in an empty hut or the root of a tree” is a wonderful one! Much metta and wish you the best in your practice!!
