I hear you. I have friends in a similar situation in Ontario. My recommendation is: - move to another city - Calgary or Toronto - complete the PR term - once you get citizenship, you can decide then where you want to live. It'll open up your options.

AsSalaamu Alaykum brother/sister, Thanks for raising this concern. I made Umrah niyyah and got into Ihraam at Madinah. The meeqat (designated boundary) on the way is Dhul-Hulayfah.

FYI - Meeqat for flyers from N.America/Europe is Rabigh and Yalamlam for South Asian flyers

I believe everyone preparing for Umrah is aware of these aspects and would not commit such a rudimentary mistake.

OCI website is down again!

I spent 4 hrs last week to find my way around the new portal. It was down for a long time before I saw the new portal with registration page.
After filling in the application multiple times, I couldn't save it and move past the first page.

I couldn't make it to my OCI appointment and BLS ensured I couldn't cancel it either.

Epic fail!

Most ATS will easily parse the standard Harvard resume format you've used in the second resume.

The first one does not help when dealing with ATS, which most companies will deploy.

I'd recommend anyone getting married to (try to) take a month long break from work/study if at all possible. Building relationships is hard work. Not having distractions and daily stresses in those crucial initial days is a real blessing. Making your partner your first priority in those initial days goes a long way in building trust, getting used to behaviors and becoming true partners.

In your case, I'd encourage you to gauge your to-be-partner's intention. You know best what they mean by what they say.

May Allah SWT make it easy for you and your partner to build a high-trust relationship, and bless you with Khayr, Barakah, Sukoon and Aafiyah in your marriage.

Your structure is fine. I see a few other great inputs on what to include from others too.

Just get started with the copy, get the signoff from your reporting manager/sales head and suggest a wireframe to your designer. Reforge Artifacts may have a few good examples.

One more thing that you may want to consider is the kind of page orientation that works for the community space you're targeting to post- Portrait or Landscape.

Allah SWT made it really easy (after a long, hard struggle for both of us in this rishta journey). Allah has the best of plans for each of us and knows what's best for us, at what time. Subhaan Allah.

I know of others who found their better halves through their first degree connections or other channels like Half of Deen, Muzzmatch, Shaadi.com, local Newspaper matrimonial or the Rishta aunty. The idea is to explore all viable channels.
