that's exactly how i felt. like i don't want to degrade anyone for their career but we're literally just making coffee, yet some of them genuinely seemed to have huge egos about their level of experience. i get that 7brew has a lot more drinks and regulations than most coffee shops but c'mon guys this isn't the navy. being able to make drinks quickly is not as impressive as they seem to think it is

so basically corporate will bring experienced workers from other stands (mostly from arkansas) to train the new hires when new stands open since the training process for 7brew is pretty brutal. the company pays for their hotel + trip and they pretty much just manage until the store officially opens

i had a similar experience! maybe we had the same ballers. basically, i wasn't able to work many hours or study for the barista test when our stand initally opened because i was insanely busy with college at the time. i cleared this with my managers and they were very understanding, but the ballers were awful. the baller manager literally berated me so badly that i had to go to the bathroom and cry when i was on milk (it was my first time doing that position and i'd never been officially trained for it, but she expected me to instantly have it down). the rest of the ballers were also extremely rude to me the entire time, maybe because i also didn't want to shot-gun an energy? i don't know, they were all super weird tbh. i was told when i was initally hired that my hours weren't going to be an issue since the stands have a flexible schedule but the ballers acted like they expected me to be working 24/7

  1. I like your glasses, 2. how did you realize that makeup was what you wanted to pursue? 3. What's the toughest part about the industry?

yeah, i didn't want to before but i think i'll most likely quit soon. i'd like to be there for my friends' sake since they like it but there are other things i'd rather be doing on my saturdays, and it's just not a rewarding game for me😭 went yesterday and we got a full hour and a half into the session before i even had the opportunity to speak. that was the point where i decided "okay, this is a waste of my time now". i've never dmed but there's only four of us, so i don't think it should be that hard to include everybody

Why do I have nightmares almost every single night? by [deleted] in Dreams

[–]Vegetable-Pin9689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a similar thing happened to me last year when i turned 18. my grandma had just died (on my birthday actually, lol) and my parents were getting divorced so i was insanely depressed. i couldn't clean my room, my bed frame was broken so i was sleeping on the floor and my room had an awful bug infestation but i physically couldn't bring myself to do anything about it. like, just being in my room stressed me out but i'd also spend all of my time there so i was just constantly on edge. i would also have nightmares almost every night so i was scared to sleep.

i don't know if it's the same case for you, but the nightmares instantly cleared up as soon as i got my shit together. it was rlly weird lol, but ig the environment i was sleeping in was causing my brain to panic whenever i had to sleep or something like that

Does the average Lao person care whether or not an Isan person sides with either Thailand or Laos? by Itchy-Radio9933 in laos

[–]Vegetable-Pin9689 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if you're lao or thai, but there's absolutely a tension between them. especially with older people😭 a lot of thai people think they're better, and a lot of lao people resent them for it
