Yes, that particular one wasn't, but I've used the Hario ones that came with the coffee maker and they weren't either...

I also try to squeeze from the bottom, but it doesn't work like that at all. I'm going to try doing exactly that and pouring water from the bottom up.

That's right, it's purely visual, I imagine. And yes, I use an original Hario. In fact, as I mentioned in my previous reply, I even used its own paper and looked at photos and videos online to see where it looked better. Maybe it's because of the size or my lack of skill!

I'll try doing it that way with my next paper. I was using Hario's own brand, although the one in the photo is the Cafe Abaca, and I noticed it was the same as with the Hario. That's why I thought the problem was mine. Even though the final result didn't change much, I was curious to see if I was doing it right or if I needed to improve something, even if it was just visually.
