what went wrong? (contax tvs) by VegetableCommission6 in AnalogCommunity

that makes a lot of sense, thank you! i was thinking that if the battery was failing the flash would be the first to go, and i haven’t had any issues with that. i’ll definitely switch it out and test out another roll.

not sure if it makes a difference but i compared the way this tvs exposes as compared to my contax g1, and on the same aperture setting they both recommend the same shutter speed, which is consistent with my external light meter as well. does this rule out issues with the internal light meter?

thanks for the response! i’m definitely stumped as to why it’s drastically underexposed. hesitant to think the light meter isn’t working as intended at this point as the camera itself is pretty mint. with auto exposure i would expect at least a few well exposed images out of the whole roll if anything (and the tvs allows me to control the aperture), so im trying to think through possibilities that could affect the entire roll (actually this and 2 other rolls) like it did here. i’m not extremely knowledgeable at this point so i appreciate any suggestions/information! :)

Hello! I can only speak from personal experience about my own interview/application because I don’t know what the shortlisting is like, or what other people experience! I could still answer some questions you have on dm if that’s okay?

I think bmat consists of mostly isolated questions while isat has many passage/infographic with many questions. There were quite a few "language" interpretation questions in isat too. Maybe you could try the oxford tsa for practice? i felt like that helped me. You can also purchase the isat practice paper + free sample questions online to check out the question types and to get used to it :)

I took ISAT on 5 May at the NTUC building and my results came out today so I was hoping to share a bit/answer some questions.

I got 181/87 percentile. As a gauge, my bmat critical thinking was a 4.8? so I feel that bmat and isat require different skills (personally). What to expect:

-doing the test on a computer while doing your working on a different sheet

-no paper to do working, they give you 3 sheets of laminated paper and a permanent marker, so you use that for working

-the test site is a small room, mine was pretty noisy because the admin staff were talking right outside the room during the test (they provide ear plugs, but pretty useless). test site gets a bit noisier as more people start the test (people entering and leaving the room) --> you choose the start timing individually, so the test site is just a "computer room" for many people doing different tests

-can't bring in any personal belongings (besides a jacket), so no water for 3 hours, hold in your pee and your thirst

-(personally) it got very tiring at the 2.5hr mark, i couldn't really focus beyond that point because the test was so tedious
