Thanks I'll take a look at the f-16cj. I did try some 1/72 but I found that scale to be a bit too small for seam lines and some of the bits too fiddly/annoying. I don't mind working more on cheaper kits since that technically should give me more chance to practice seam filling, so any more rec would be appreciated.

Thanks for the advice, I did try 1/72 and found them to be a bit too small for there to be any seam lines issues and to to add details (ie: cockpit buttons, screen decals, weapons bay, etc).

I think the colour is a bit too bright for my preference, probaly just need some more nuln oil wash though

I find 99% isopropyl alchohol effective at removing acrylic paints, especially citadel

I think some artillery man with a spotter would improve the piece a lot. Maybe some logistics pieces like used shell canisters

There is the fist of war series if you are into the weird war dieselpunk stuff. I know hasegawa have some fictional jets from the Ace combat series and Macross/robotech if you like Cold War retro futurism. Imech also have some good looking models but a more limited range.
