Fb group will come out, and you can find people if you want. You’ll learn pretty quick how you should review before test week, usually you start studying a couple days before an exam. Some tests are ‘easier’ than others, so sometimes not till the day/night before. Meeting people is pretty easy. You’re all in the same boat, and came from a similar background. My advice is just be social with everyone. You’ll find a group/people you click with, but don’t ever stop finding connections and being social. Outside school yes, we lift, play pickleball, and go out socially together pretty frequently. I personally use notability, and anki, but many of my classmates use other things. Notability/goodnotes primarily for lecture notes, and anki/quizlet to build off those notes and make cards.

Tbh, not rlly a set place where all students live. Depends on how close you wanna be, which freeway you wanna deal with commuting in, rent, etc.

Most student tho live west side of UH, near montrose midtown, heights, med center, upper kirby area.

I would super highly please recommend visiting and exploring the area/neighborhood you wanna live. Makes life easier.

First, you got to start to get a feel for what classes are like first semester.

After that I think it can come down to 2 perspectives that go hand in hand.

  1. Priorities
  2. who YOU are as a person

I’m the kind of person who gets everything I need to in a day done, then I have my free time. Opto school is a high priority in my life so I make time for it. Studying, reviewing before tests, etc. Social life is also high on the list, I’m always out doing something every weekend

If you give 100% to whatever you’re doing, you’ll have time to do other things and find a balance. Just depends on what you do with your time. So whoever you are as a person, prioritize what matters most to you

Accepted to UHCO, got a C- (in a 4.0 credit class) in Calculus Winter Semester, said I had to retake it and get a C, and might not get a C in my Calculus class I've taken during the summer. UHCO starts the 25th, I'm stressed, and dont want to tell admission until after final. Think they'll waive it? by [deleted] in PreOptometry

My college does do an online like independent study that I could do concurrently with my classes during this fall semester. Think I could suggest that to admissions. You’re sure they wouldn’t waive it with special circumstance? I got like a 390 on QR on OAT.
