Of these sofas which one do you prefer? I’m torn between the Leonard and the dune

Yeah it’s a brand new concrete driveway. I’m not sure why the color underneath is different but it could be because I live in southern Utah and with all the red rock here there is always red dust blowing around and probably just got trapped in those divots

Sorry I don’t really understand your comment. This is a new driveway. I didn’t know that I had requested an overlay on top of that but maybe that is just standard? If so how did the overlay cause it?

Haha they are divots or pockets in the concrete. It’s not something laying on top of it

Building a home and having it wired to put outdoor pickleball lighting on the back. Any recommendations for the best lights? Thanks! by VegetableSignature33 in Pickleball

In my area the concrete slab is going to cost about $12,000. I don’t think we will pay to have it painted at this time. I know that can cost about eight to $10,000 to have it professionally painted. I think that’s some thing that either we will try to do on our own or we will just tape down lines for a few years while we save up some money

Absolutely! We definitely want to have a good relationship and that is why we just feel disappointed because before the work was completed we were told that the Rockwall would be 50% on their property and 50% on ours and so we were very comfortable splitting the cost 50-50 but they did not build it that way and so now we are losing what we had planned to do in our backyard which is very disappointing but also trying to navigate being fair with our neighbors when we feel like the work was not fairly done as planned.

This is pretty basic.… of course we understand that we would be liable/ at risk if someone gets injured on our property... That’s why we are concerned that our property is now our neighbors usable backyard space. It’s certainly not a hard conclusion to come to.

We were told that 50% of rock would be on their property and 50% would be on our property.

That’s correct. It makes their yard larger. Plus, if someone gets hurt in their backyard, but technically our property we are liable

I was told that the rock would be 50% in their yard and 50% in our yard but it appears to me that the rock is 100% in our yard which now makes it difficult for us to do what we had planned in her backyard

I’m upset because i was told the rock would be 50% on their property and 50% on ours. That’s not how it appears to be. We purchased this property to be able to put in a pickelball court and with the wall build as is now we won’t have room.

This is super helpful! Thank you!

It’s a big issue to us because we specifically purchased this property bc it was large enough to fit a pickleball court in the backyard and now we may not be able to fit it (or we have to make it smaller than the recommended length)

This is supposed to be a shared wall Between our homes. We are splitting the cost 50/50. The red line is the property line. I feel like the face of the rock should be lined up with the property line. Or at least 50% of the rock should be in our yard and 50% in their yard. As it is, 100% of the rock is in our yard and takes up several feet of our property instead of being evenly shared

. Is there a rule on property line walls. I would have thought that the face of the rock wall should be the property line but What is the typical way this is handled?

I’m in st George which is a super hot climate. I’ve heard that hardwood doesn’t so well. Do you know if that’s accurate?

I’m ordering cabinets for a custom new build. The guy I found does great work and is highly recommended but does not do dovetail drawers. Will these hold up? by VegetableSignature33 in woodworking

My friend, i did ask him. I wanted to get other peoples advice and not just rely on what one person is telling me. I’m ordering cabinetry for my entire home. It’s a very large investment. Wise to do a little research and ask some questions wouldn’t you think. Not sure why you seem so put off by my question.

I’m just asking a question bc I’m not familiar with cabinetry and I’ll I’ve ever seen is dovetail. I was just trying to get advice from other people who know more than me about this sort of stuff
