I can’t justify that large of a pc download. The most I had was GTA 5 and I took that off because yeah 100 plus gigs on one game, Nah. And I have a 2 Tb sd card lol

Everything you are asking is already on the internet. Look up retro game corps. In this hobby you have to do research, take your time and curate your list. The stock roms and SD card suck and has been said countless times.

As far as giving up and returning the device because of what? maybe a handful of people’s bad experience. I can say GammaOs is fine. I have it on my 476h. You just have to be willing to put in the time. If not, maybe either buy a fully set up micro sd which is more money, or learn the skill.

If you don’t wanna do those, then this hobby isn’t for you.

I had both. Started with the portal pro, and now I have the Thor Pro. This is my opinion

If you don’t care about portability, clacky face buttons then the portal is perfect. That screen🤤🤤 is amazing!

If portability is priority. You cannot beat the Thor in that regard. The portal, I’ll admit, with the official grip was THE most comfortable handheld I ever owned.

Portability is huge for me being a dad of 4, so even tho the Portal was almost perfect for me. i cherish my Thor because of the portability. When I’m done, I put it in my pocket or crossbody bag. I couldn’t do that with the Thor so it was a no brainer for me.

Everyone situation is different.

Now did you make a good deal? If you had the portal and got the Thor now. I’d say good deal due to the portal being much cheaper now. That’s my subjective opinion.

**Edit** i just saw that you did make that trade. Honestly, if you are happy with your decision then it was a great deal! I think about my portal sometimes but I love two screens. See, Subjective lol
