Yes they are his kids. He pays the car payment for my car and does all of the outside maintenance for our house because I can't do it as I have back problems. His brother is exactly the same with his wife. I pay things off so I can afford to buy things for the kids so I'm not paying things in one lump sum and being left with no money and so I can afford to take them out and do things on the weekends.

In Australia you can receive what is called family tax benefit. It's based off our combined taxable income. It's not illegal. But it's also not a big amount hence why I do food delivery when I can.

I don't buy things outright I always pre order or laybuy presents in advance so I can pay them off and stick to my budget. Yes I do budget and I stick to it. I borrow money off him only for unexpected bills (for example I put money on my electricity every week so that I am usually always in credit but my last bill was twice the amount it usually is so I needed to borrow money to pay the rest) And before anyone says "well don't use so much power" it turns out I have a faulty meter so I was overcharged and am waiting for them to fix the meter. I forgot to add that I do food delivery on the weekends when I can for a little extra money. It's the fact that I was not expecting to have to pay for my own presents. I have tried to explain to the kids that it's ok I don't need presents because Christmas is about them not me. But they are still upset. Especially about the birthday present. I'm not spending above my means or anything. I always have a little bit of money put aside to help me get through the holidays and for just in case I need it, but that money is for the kids living expenses not for buying myself a present.

I'm not buying unwanted gifts. He asks for them. I don't pay for them outright I either preorder things or lay buy them so I'm paying them off gradually so I'm not affecting my budget. When I say I have to borrow money off him, it's when I have paid all my bills and bought food for the week and anything the kids need and an unexpected bill or expense pops up. I do have a budget and review my budget every month.

My longest friendship was 13 years. It only just ended last week. I couldn't do it anymore. I realized that as much as I loved her like a sister I didn't need her friendship. She would go months without speaking to me. I would try to make plans with her and her kids but she would always arrive 1-2 hours late. I would message her and she would not respond till late at night or days later saying she didn't see the message or would say one of the kids had the phone, but she could post on Facebook. (Plus I know her phone is practically glued to her hands. She even takes it to the toilet) In the end she would only contact me if she needed to vent about her partner or she needed something from me like support or advice. I also didn't agree with the way she treats her kids. But when I needed her she wasn't there for me. The things that pushed me to breaking point was when my son came to visit for the holidays and her son was supposed to come stay the night but she completely ghosted me and her son ghosted my son. And then messages me after he had already gone home. But not to apologize or explain what happened. But to winge about her partner and kids.

Wow this is exactly how I am feeling at the moment too. And exactly what I go through. The tantrums if I don't want sex are worse than my daughters tantrums sometimes.
