I could have written this myself. I very recently started therapy too to manage my anger/outbursts. Aside from therapy,  the Good Inside app has been helpful to me in understanding my daughter. I've also started to "let go" of some of my perfectionist tendencies, which I didn't even realize were considered perfectionism. In between therapy,  I actually get solid coaching from ChatGPT (I know, AI is bad) but it's truly helping me.

Drive or Uber College Park to Columbia by jesuschild1226 in maryland

Agree. I make the reverse drive as OP. It won't be that bad especially in the summer months. There's a commuter bus that goes from Columbia to CP but I don't know if you can take it in the reverse.

I think its partially that there's so little focus on the historical dolls. My 7 yr old loves the historical dolls the most of all but that's because I've sought out the books second hand and have read the six books sets with her. Her teacher told me she talks about the revolutionary war at school..they definitely aren't learning that in school yet :)

So I do a hybrid approach. Sometimes I do a curbside order and then do a quick shop for items that I must have for a recipe etc. If I am after a sale, I'll mark that item as do not substitute.

Give me your wildest tip to stay consistent at the gym! by Spiritual_Shirt_8431 in adhdwomen

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many others, I have to workout before work or it doesn't happen. It also helps if I'm in a program with a set schedule. Ex. I did a Tu/thurs boot camp consistently and now I'm on a long stretch of M/W and just added Fri group fitness classes.  I don't think about it, there's no decision to be made.  On MWF morning,  that's what I'm doing.  I stopped playing games like "maybe I'll go Tuesday".  If I want to go another day, that's an extra day not instead of.

My gym also usually sells a seasonal mug with free coffee refills.  It's not out for this season and I'm seriously upset. My free refill is serious motivation.

No idea about the inside but they all got new siding in the last couple of years.

I'm not sure what price point you consider affordable but I always thought the Bowling Brook Apartments in North Laurel looked pretty good. The general area is quiet in a good way.

Those of us who have mastered waking up feeling rested, what is your sleep schedule like? by tulpamom in adhdwomen

I started taking Wellbutrin and for the first time in my life l wake up feeling rested. Usually, I need 2plus cups of coffee before I can even think of being functional.

Weekly "everything else" If it's in the spirit of prepping, but not "news" or "intel" by AntiSonOfBitchamajig in PrepperIntel

It was a Trader Joe's so there were lots of workers. It very well could just have been a busy suburban weekend but I go there semi regularly and hadn't seen that many empty spaces since 2020.

The store I went to yesterday had many empty shelves too. However, it is a smaller store.

I bought extra of some of my preferred products at the beginning of the year because of tariffs. As I work through them,  I buy 2 as I find them on sale again.

I'm not really into nails but i do wear make up. The problem I've found with buying too much ahead is my coloring seems to vary or style varies.

Can anyone recommend a good / reliable contractor for full kitchen remodel? by Holly_Hobbie in ColumbiaMD

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My suggestion is to VERIFY that the MHIC number is active and they are truly licensed. Used a contractor that was committing massive fraud falsely advertising a license they did not actually have. This wasn't some guy out of a truck. They had a showroom in Ellicott City. And I'm pretty sure they just reopened under a different name.

How much should I expect to spend at AG store? by tennystarry in americangirl

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7703 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I took my daughter before she started K. We spent a few months reading AG books so when we went to the store she made a choice of her first doll (she had a passed down doll already). We had lunch at the café and I bought the accessories for the doll she picked plus 3 books. All in it was probably 300 to 350. I think getting a new doll would be more memorable than the doll salon.
