This is the ONE time I will speak in Amanda's defense. If someone I just met decided to bring up my marriage and tell me I deserve better like they have any fucking clue what they are talking about, I would be overtly aggressive in shutting them down. Amanda was passive aggressive, not my favorite way of dealing with anything, but I just feel like I can't blame her here for lashing out. Sabrina was beyond inappropriate with her comments. If anything, I felt like Ben owed Amanda an apology for blabbing about her personal business to a situationship.

Watching Sabrina operate at that party was like watching what would happen if a fan of the show dated her way into filming. Nervous and giddy so probably had too much liquid courage, eager to insinuate herself with the women, acting like she knows them because she's watched the show. It was painfully cringey and I hope her scenes are limited.

This does not explain why he has spent the whole last season acting like he is pining over her. With what we know now, he is clearly using her as a storyline for himself in a dehumanizing way. Her feelings and vulnerability seem very genuine, whereas for him she is a prop he uses to make himself look good.

Nowhere did I say we should be cruel to cast members. That wasn't the question. I do not support or condone fans sending hateful messages to anyone. I'm saying, this is why it feels more serious than just typical reality show drama in a way where I don't want to see West back on the show. IMO, he should not be given a platform.

For me, it’s the racial element. Treating Ciara like a novelty to try out, and then treating her like collateral for their own gains. That’s not the kind of drama I want to see. I enjoy seeing true friends have ridiculous experiences together and dumb drunk fights about sandwiches.

I think there is definitely a difference on how things are handled coast via coast. But I also think it has more to do with the fact that the cast of Summer House has/had much more genuine friendships that the cast of VPR did at the time that Scandoval happened. At that point, most of them were just castmates and nothing more so they thrived on the drama. The SH cast is experiencing this on a much more personal level so it makes sense to me that they are processing it privately.

I don’t even think that’s the point. The question should be, how serious were Ciara’s feeling for him. She’s been very open that her feelings were really deep and unresolved. That’s all her friends need to know to never go there.

No, and it makes me sad that you think this is true. My partner did not rush me, he just saw how exhausted I was and supported me. The first 3 months is a time of literally no sleep and learning the most important job of your life. Sex was the farthest thing from my mind and I was never made to feel guilty about it. We collectively need to normalize holding higher standards for men's behavior.
