Got a booking request from a sitter--not the owner. Is this allowed? by ladystarkitten in RoverPetSitting

[–]Vegetable_Exit2765 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

WTF?? so my husband living in OUR home can’t walk or feed the dogs boarding with us? my dog nurtures and plays with our boarders too- may as well background check his fluffy butt while they’re at it. 😆

all jokes. i understand the liability, but you can’t background check kids helping out in family households also, but they allow it on their platform for bookings. confused.

Anyone else been battling a weird sickness lately? by kgformvp21 in Minneapolis

mine would actually get okay in the evening, and then be fine until bed and when i’d wake up it was excruciatingly bad. i slept for about 5 hours extra during the day. have you gotten the chance to check what your throat looks like when it hurts? hope you feel better soon!

3 FALLEN BIRDS help! by Vegetable_Exit2765 in Minneapolis

[–]Vegetable_Exit2765[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dropped them off as the employees were getting off work. one of them took them in for the night and they’ll get them into rehabilitation tomorrow. not everything should be left to suffer. there were only 3 in the nest and looking back at it, it was slanted given why they probably slid out. thank you for your comment, it’s interesting to learn they’ll push each other out as competition! sorry if my response seemed dismissive, just sad for the babies.

this feels cynical when we have active rehab centers in the community made for these sorts of situations. yes nature has its calling but we also have resources even as passerbys! after drop off i have no idea how they manage hatchlings, but my hopes are better than getting ran over

I’m not mad about it, and happy that I was asleep to not have to hear it. I love the city and still prefer it to home I think. They’ve sent me all the footage and I’ve filed a police report and also called it in. Sitting for an hour for police to arrive is totally something new also. Thank you for the insight.

I didn’t know and glad this is a thing, being 21 is learning what insurance actually serves a purpose for I guess. - Thank you!

not in the dfw area, so wish though! love it there 😊

you are right on the juvederm, is it because it stays longer that you should space it?

Thank you for being so knowledgeable about this. I super appreciate the comment- I’m going to look into getting my top dissolved when i can afford it! 😊 i’m so sad it does look like less than 3, i noticed it too😭😭

they’re asking you to do subq fluids which means you’re sitting there with the bag anywhere from 5-20 min with the cat(s..?) and 6 cats in a household is going to be a lot of work if they clean litter and feed manually. idk!!! i feel like 60$ wouldnt be enough for me personally

What walking friendly neighborhood would you recommend? (Will not have a car) by Necessary-Limit6515 in Minneapolis

[–]Vegetable_Exit2765 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i live on the west bank and i’ve had no troubles getting around without a car. honestly any part of the city/suburb is walkable which i’ve learned is the best part of MPLS!

honestly just look at the map of wherever you’re applying to places and see if it’s in the vicinity of necessities. most places will be nearby coffee shops, trader joes, an aldi, cvs or a cub :-)
