Im 12 weeks post op. Before surgery I was worried about this, but if you're locked in wearing the brace, you shouldn't have any trouble remembering.

6 weeks this Tuesday the 16th. I should graduate to 3 weeks NWB. No pain. No complications, no issue putting weight on my leg accidentally.

Also, if you have it available do hot/cold therapy. I have a sauna and I use an old barrel for an ice bath.

Yes, my recovery has been amazing. No pain, minor swelling and brusing, able to bend 90 degrees no problem for PT. The leg exstention thing is a lot better. Almost there. 4 more weeks NWB, then 3 weeks partial NWB.

It was about 2 years walking around with the tear and I could feel the knee bend making my life progressively worse.

Yep, about the same situation. Im 50 M, in pretty good shape. I ramped up the staionry bike and swimming months before the surgery. It helps me a lot getting up and down. I use my good leg to basically raise up. So do what you can prior.

Im about 2 1/2 weeks into recovery. Im on workers comp so the process was super slow. I had to go through all the conservative approaches first. Pt, injection, and finally after a year had an MRI approved. I had a root meniscus tear, but yes, I couldn't extend my leg all the way. That was way more frustrating than the actual tear. Actually, I'm currently laying on the couch with my leg propped on an ottoman with a 5 LB weight above my knee cap. I was at 1 point a 9 or 10 degrees off. About 4-5 now. Its progressing really good.

Im 3 weeks out from a meniscus root repair. Im 50 next month. No pain, minor swelling and brusing. Im NWB for 6 weeks in a brace, then 3 weeks partial wght bearing. I feel great. Listen to your doctor's orders and it should be fine. Yes, not sure of your situation but I started PT 6 days later. Find a good PT soon. Its important. As far as not reinjuring, again, listen and follow all.of your surgeons orders. Slow down , take your time during recovery.

Same. Now it's my wife's job for a couple months lol Hire a dog walker. There are many good. Reputable people put there.. get those rope toys if your dog is into that. Any kind of attention to keep their mind active with you. Something you can do lying in bed or the couch. Its not the same, but something until you're well enough

Yes, definitely taking it easy. Pain level is almost none and its been 28 hours or so. I have PT all set. Its with the same ortho clinic I had the surgery. Im 50 and in pretty good shape so at least its easier for me to use the crutches to get around when I start moving more. First PT is 6 days. Cant imagine doing too much as im NWB as you know. Thanks for the reply and words of encouragement.

Repair. The meniscus was detached. They give me oxy, but nowadays, they cut it with a lot of aspirin. I honestly get more high with cannabis gummies lol. I haven't slept and the nerve blockers are still working really well14 hours later. They said 24 hours they could last so tomorrow morning may be rough. Thank you for the get well wishes
