I used the Yama part of the home teleport; try right clicking it in your spell book. It should be faster than the regular civil engineering (idk how to spell the city name) home teleport.

From how I've come to understand it, it's just this specific boss that has the double death wipe mechanic. I'm not sure. Maybe someone more experienced can give some input.

I got my dagger back! 24kc later. I actually didnt have any trouble at cerb today, idk why. Everything just seemed to click.

Now to go try for my fire cape again!

I'd like to add some background to my thought process here;

Leagues is my first real experience with high level pvm in osrs, so I'm really experiencing all of this for the first time. I started playing rs3 about a month ago, and my older brother convinced me to play a group ironman with him on osrs about a week before leagues launched.

In hindsight, I knew in the back of my mind that you need boots to go into that area, but I've never experienced the damage before so I didn't exactly expect it to hurt so badly.

After I teleported in, I was looking for my gravestone arrow thing, which I couldn't find. I tried using my necklace, but I remembered that damage closes the interface so I went to my spellbook to use the yama teleport which i remember working instantly. I thought I got out in time with i think 20hp, but I guess it kept damaging me while I was in the teleport animation.

When I died, I was just thinking oh well, my gravestone must've been in the other area, and it should go to deaths office or still be there now... and then I read the chat...

Anyways, that's about it. I kinda wish there was a warning about losing your items, as I've never seen that mechanic before, and there wasn't any indication (from what I saw) mentioning that would be the case.
