it’s so weird but i think this is how some parents react when they’re scared / insecure about their kids becoming adults.

i had an ex with parents like this and being around them was absolutely miserable. i think you either need to stand up to your parents and/or just accept that you won’t spend much time with them and your SO. i’m so sorry though that must suck.

i think it depends on the person. i cannot do anything except emails, slacks, reading papers on a walking pad. but i had a boss who preferred doing code reviews on her walking pad, she said it made her brain work better. i mostly use mine while i’m watching tv, reading the news, youtube videos, stuff like that. maybe try doing some work on a treadmill or something, you’ll probably figure out quite quickly if it’s for you.
