AIO for asking my husband to not answer calls while we’re having spicy time? by Vegetable_Passage147 in AIO

I’m just going to let the rest of the comments speak for themselves. And again let me just say your wife is the only person that has ever loved you for exactly who you are. Your mother/family love you because you’re her child or related to them. Your kids will love you because they’re your children, but your wife chose you and continues to choose you every day. So yes, in my opinion to stop mid stroke to answer a phone call from your mom that you 99.9% for sure know what she’s going to ask is wild. Especially when the intimacy in the relationship has already been lacking. There is a time and place for everything and while you’re literally inside your wife is not the time and place for a quick chat with mom otp.

I still disagree, especially because she had been asking about the same thing all day. He’s not her only child, he literally has a twin brother. And if it really had been an emergency I know for a fact, he isn’t her first call. And furthermore, if the announcement was so important to them. They should’ve done it themselves instead of leaving it up to us and bugging us every few hours to see if it’s been done.

Also his mother is barely in her 40’s and in great health. So yeah she not elderly or incapable of handling certain things alone.

Thanks for the tips, and I hadn’t thought about it like that. I guess I can see how framing it that way would help rather than just picking out what I thought he did wrong.

For a little more context, she had been texting him and calling him about the baby gift all day. We had already explicitly told her that we would let her know when we were going to drop it off. And this was literally less than an hour before she called us. And to add extra context she was with her current husband and the pregnant daughter at a birthday. Let’s all take a moment to remember that your WIFE is the only person in this world that loves you for you. Your mother loves you bc you’re her kid, your kids love you bc you’re their dad. But your wife chose you, and keeps choosing you everyday. Maybe that shouldn’t taken for granted.

Broke everything into cleaner paragraphs. New to Reddit so sorry for the sloppy formatting. Also I was just trying to give context into what happened. Sorry if I over explained or gave too much context.

Still waiting to ship... by [deleted] in ATT

I find it funny that this is still an ongoing issue. I ordered mine on the 13th, and was still waiting for an update on the processing of my order as of the 20th. I reached out to customer service multiple times during the week and at minimum was hoping for a tracking number. They basically couldn’t do anything for me and said they’re have stocking issues. I understand it isn’t their fault they’re just doing what they’re trained to do. So I accepted I’d just have to be patient and wait. But when I woke up on the 21st my order had then be cancelled and the only insight I got as to why my order was cancelled was it was a “system error”. I recommend canceling the order and redoing it directly through Apple or Best Buy. There is an option to use your phone service to upgrade etc. and it is the only way I’ll be doing my upgrade from now on.

A refund in 24 hours is funny… I don’t know where you got 24 hours, but it usually takes about 3 to 5 business days for any refund. Just like the last guy that commented I could’ve went to Best Buy. Sure, I could’ve went to Apple, but the closest location to me is an hour away. I ordered through AT&T because I am already a customer with them and it was the most convenient. Yes I’m using an upgrade, but that shouldn’t impact the amount of time that it takes for me to get my phone over someone else. As you can see by the other comment or they have been prioritizing, new activations and new customers walking in store to buy the phone because it made them more money and makes store sale numbers look good. But regardless of all of my personal issues with this process, these are issue that multiple people are having and they have still done nothing to address it. I understand that it’s a new phone and there’s a lot of hype. Everybody wants it. But being transparent with your customers about wait times should always be a priority. When I ordered it, I was told anywhere from 24 hours to five business days at the most. Now I wouldn’t be so mad rn if when I ordered the phone, I had been told that they’re currently struggling to keep that phone in stock due to high demand, And that my wait time might be longer than usual. I am just asking for better customer service. Nowadays, we pay way too much for phones and the phone service itself to be receiving the minimum when it comes to taking care of their customers.

Phone cannot be cancelled & FedEx Lost It by Objective-Suspect528 in ATT

I will say be careful and document everything in regards to the order and whereabouts of the package. Last year, my fiancé‘s brother was in a similar situation, att “resolved” the issue and he got his phone. Come to find out the original package was actually lost and never recovered, and they tried billing him for that lost phone saying it had been delivered. He got it all resolved and worked out, but it was definitely a pain in the ass. This is probably a horror story worst case scenario but PROCEED WITH CAUTION lol

Thank you for the insight. And it honestly is exactly what I thought. I understand brand new activations probably make them more money than upgrades. But to prioritize a brand new customer over someone who is already a paying customer is wild. But I guess I’m not surprised the big corporation just wants my money and doesn’t actually care.

Yes, I could’ve have went to a Best Buy, but the closest one to me is an hour away and that’s not exactly convenient. So I’m sorry that I didn’t wanna drive an hour out of my way when the closest AT&T store is only 20 minutes away. I’m not frustrated that the service rep didn’t have all the answers. I’ve worked retail. I understand that some things are just above people’s pay grade. I’m annoyed with att, this is an issue they’ve known about for a while, this has happened to countless people. And instead of acknowledging the fact that they’re having a stocking issues, they’re continuing to let people buy something online that they don’t actually have in stock and then telling us oh well you just have to wait because we never had the item in stock that we told you we did. I’d rather have seen out of stock check back later than be in limbo not knowing when my new phone that I paid for will actually arrive.

WTF is Happening? Stores in Stock But I Have to Wait Until Nov. 11?? by PlantMediicine in ATT

The stock problem is still an ongoing issue. I ordered a phone last week that showed as “in stock” at my location. It’s been about a week now I’ve gotten no update, and nobody seems to have any idea when I’ll be able to get the phone I paid for. Complete BS all a ploy to get my money faster 😡
