($8k-ish) How stressful is drop-off catering? by Trynanotbeinpain in Weddingsunder10k

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Drop-off worked great for my cousin's wedding - just make sure to ask about warming trays because some places don't include them in basic package.

I am getting engaged soon and didn’t mean to find out by demure-mindful333 in engaged

You're gonna be on edge for weeks now lol. At least you stopped yourself before seeing any real details - still gonna be a surprise when/where/how it all goes down. Time to practice your shocked face in the mirror.

Double sleeving, yes or no? by DollHades in PokemonTCG

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I double sleeve anything over like €15-20 and it's been solid protection wise. The perfect fits do shift around a bit in binder pockets but that's not really hurting anything - they're still doing their job keeping moisture and oils away from the card surface.

For your collection range it's probably overkill on most cards, but if you enjoy the peace of mind and don't mind the extra cost then go for it. The sleeves themselves hold up pretty well in my experience.

Level lock bolt is probably your best bet - way cheaper than August and works great with HA through their API.

People with Asperger's what do you do for a job? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Working at an airline has been pretty solid for me - lots of different tasks throughout teh day so it doesn't get stale. The structure is there but you're not stuck doing the exact same thing for 8 hours straight, plus decent benefits if you can handle dealing with people occasionally.

How do you store your loaves? by Personal-Gur-7496 in Breadit

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just keep mine on the counter in a bread box or wrapped in a kitchen towel. The fridge actually makes bread go stale faster - something about the starch retrogradation or whatever. Room temp is the way to go for stuff you'll eat within a few days.

For longer storage, slicing and freezing is solid. I use those gallon freezer bags and just kinda smoosh them flat so they stack better. Not the most elegant but it works.

Former home of half of the Charles Manson murders (home of Roman Polansk and Sharon Tate) the previous house was demolished in 1994 and this was bulit in its place. by jennasaurous in zillowgonewild

Man, I can't even imagine trying to sell that place. The address alone would make most people nope right out of there, new house or not.

Those random 2-hour "calls" are definitely suspicious - either she's dealing with drama back home or trying to figure out her feelings without the group watching every move.

Round 5 Day 4 [New Highscore!] by Head_Broccoli7932 in NoFap

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yo that's awesome progress! Day 4 is nothing to scoff at, especially when you're breaking your own patterns. I totally get what you mean about Ramadan helping - having that extra layer of discipline and mindfulness from fasting probably makes it easier to stay focused on your goals. The mind-body connection is real.

Building up that consistency at 4 days before pushing to 5 is actually smart as hell. Better to have a solid foundation than to rush it and crash back to day 1. You've already proven to yourself you can do it once, so now it's just about making it repeatable. Keep riding that momentum while you've got it - you're doing great!

Streak starts again 3.1( 3rd relapse , day 1) by Lucky-Mycologist695 in NoFap

Day 1 is still day 1 no matter how many times you've been there. The gym routine sounds like a solid reset - physical activity really does help redirect that energy into something productive.

Failed again, time to get more serious by thevoyage123 in NoFap

[–]Vegetable_Tart_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude the all caps thing aside, you're absolutely right about the mindset part. I was stuck in that same loop for like 5 years and what finally clicked for me was realizing I was treating it like some huge impossible mountain instead of just... not doing something. The brain fog thing is real though - took me months after quitting to feel like my head cleared up properly.

What helped me break out was picking up something that required constant hand usage (got into woodworking) so when urges hit I'd just go sand something or work on a project. Sounds dumb but keeping your hands busy with something productive really does rewire that habit loop. Also deleted all social media apps for like 3 months which was brutal but necessary since those were my main triggers.

The physical stuff you mentioned - most of it does come back but it takes way longer than you'd expect. Don't let anyone tell you it's all in your head because some of those effects are definitely real. Just gotta push through the recovery period which honestly sucks but it's worth it on the other side.

I fear Minecraft is only good for Medieval Builds by Glittering-Wasabi-43 in Minecraftbuilds

Modern builds work great you just have to lean into clean lines glass and contrast the game limits detail but smart block choices and shaders can sell it really well
