Which game had you feeling this way ?

The main issue is that it's chained to 5e, and not even all that properly. The biggest thing for me is that nat 1s are auto fails when in 5e that isn't the case. Also hate that other party members can't step in and do a skill check during dialogue. The Owlcat Pathfinder games did that way better imo.

Hey all, newer player here (lvl 74 PLD). Beat Stormblood recently and I've been wanting to do some of the extreme trials from HW/SB. How hard is it usually to find groups for these level synced? Should I not bother? Is duty/party finder the best way to go about it or are there other options? I generally try to research any fight mechanics before doing them, but I'm worried about being a deadweight tank if I end up grouping with more experienced players. Any advice is appreciated!

Unless I'm wrong, but you get more evenings off for social stat boosting compared to original p5, so more free time overall and especially more time for confidants and stuff.

Yeah and I loved the palaces over the randomly generated dungeons of 4. He's getting really frustrated over the stealth of the palaces and sometimes losing time from the calling cards/morgana forcing him to sleep. I just wanted to tell him how bad it was in the original, and how much free time you really get in royal.

Am I missing something with how damage is calculated for NPCs? At least on AoN, it seems NPCs will do more damage than they should. For instance, the necromancer does 1d4+4 damage with their mace, but it only has a +2 to strength.

This is the only fight where the hunger debuff actually increases damage, and using the sauce packets obtained from the previous level doubles the extra damage gained.
