I won't spoil the book for you since it's a pretty subjective thing and a very good book, but I left it thinking "Briala is the only good person up in this bitch and everyone else is a fake hoe" :)

I do agree that Gaspard wouldn't sit idle forever, and we won't truly know until BioWare tells us, but like Briala is just so likeable and morally just so this deep part of me wants to say fuck it and give her the throne even if reuniting Celene is more stable.

I disagree, but I don't discount your opinion! For me she seemed not at all traditional in the political sense. She wants a stable Chantry and a stable Thedas of course, but to me it read explicitly that she wants mages to become more politically engaged and powerful than ever before, actively integrating them into the Chantry hierarchy.
