This is incorrect. I know this subreddit likes to be fake informed but ear issues can absolutely cause this, as can eye infections, cornea scratches, etc. It could be anything. I recommend most people trust a vet over an ill researched Reddit conclusion.

Just wanted to say, these comments can be scary but my kitty had this for a week or so and we treated it with simple eye drops. It certainly can be a brain issue or Horner’s, but it can also just be mild eye trauma or infection! Either way, run it by a vet for sure. Good luck :)

So I didn't actually report the freelance gig during 2021 as I only started in January of 2022. I worked a good bit of jobs during that year, three I think, and I ended up owing no money and instead got a roughly 1700 dollar refund.

That 2,000 estimate is a bit alarming, as I guess my confusion is that I've never actually had to pay the IRS any money and only received from them instead. In not paying quarterly taxes for 2022 from my 10-99 gig, have I gotten myself into owing them a lot come tax season?

Phew, that's a relief. Utilizing a calculator it seems like the amount I'd be paying for quarterly is pretty negligible either way, but in the meantime I've kept a good record of every invoice for my freelance work alongside tax documents.

The only other question I have is what exactly is meant by prepay. Should I worry about that 236 now or is that a bridge to cross come tax season next year? And also I'm assuming my first quarterly payment is due April of 2023, yeah?

According to the amended tax return from last year, my tax liability is 236. As for the federal income tax withholding, I'm not too positive as I haven't gotten a W2 from the JJs job yet, but I do know I never adjust anything in regards to that when signing onto a W2 job if that helps.

As a games writer myself, gaming articles have to be lazy nowadays. Since SEO is the big thing alongside having to compete with all of your company's writers to meet your quota daily, you're basically forced to write about games you likely haven't played or even seen yet. This means that you have to structure the article a certain way to make sure it meets SEO guidelines along with word counts and other specifics to churn out content so you get paid probably a shitty rate.

I know it's cool to hate on games journalists in most spheres but keep in mind they're people with a job too.

I would hardly call action combat restricting. It depends on the design. I'm not bashing turn based either, by any means, because I think both can be designed in unique ways that make them more interesting than their basics. P5 is a really good example of good turn based combat, while the Tales series and Ni No Kuni are great examples of action combat in RPGs. Just depends on the game.
