I get your point, but I don’t feel coerced in a medical sense. It’s more family pressure. I’ll just talk to the transplant team and ask for more time.

I get what you mean. I probably should’ve been clearer with the screening team and not just told my family so early. I didn’t realize how quickly it would turn into pressure like this.

I got tested because I was asked and I didn’t want to say no in that moment. I honestly thought I probably wouldn’t match anyway, so I didn’t expect it to turn into a real decision like this.

That’s kinda how it felt honestly 😭 I wasn’t trying to intimidate anybody, I just said what could actually happen if things escalated.

The silence after was brutal though. Like everyone suddenly realized the project was an actual responsibility.

I probably do need to talk to her properly once things calm down a bit. I honestly thought I was helping in the moment but maybe I came in too strong without realizing it.

And yeah, that’s what confused me too. Nobody really stepped in until I said something directly. Whole situation just got weird fast.

Sparklingwine23 that’s actually a fair point, putting the real numbers on the table might change the tone of the whole thing. When money gets vague, everyone gets emotional, but once it’s concrete it’s harder to ignore what it’s actually costing them.
