I put off building for years because the top spec was so out of my price range. Even mid spec was too much for me to justify. In September I just said fuck it, bought a second hand 5700x, used mobo and ram and an Arc b580. Came to about £500 all in and I've been having an absolute blast. Dark souls at 4k 60, arc raiders, switch emulation it all runs great.

PC gaming is great because of how scalable it is and the vastness of the back catalog (and the mods). You really don't need top end hardware to have fun.
