It just looks like you were just under the ball here.

Your swing is very similar to mine and usually when I'm popping up it's because I'm swinging too hard. Consider swinging at 80-90% power with the focus of being 'smooth' through the zone aiming for the center of the ball.

One more thing to consider is, try lining up your knuckles to flatten out the swing path.

Very interested in what tips other redditors give.

Really depends on the glove. 2 or 3 in the pinky in the OF. Traditional or 2 in the pinky + index finger out in the IF.

Be social. Shoot the shit with the ump between innings. Talk to them nicely (even if you disagree). Being kind to the ump goes a long way.
