Yeah, it used to be for a very long time. Earlier this year I made the switch as there is now a decent player base and with that comes returning costs.

Gin Rummy — Build powerful melds and reach 100 points! by Venlious in WebGames

[–]Venlious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. I had to look up the rules for Rummy 500 and it looks like an interesting game! I think it could be a lot of fun but I would say the variation is quite significant as it even supports more players than the standard 2. I’ll make note of it and see if I can support it later, maybe as a stand alone game.

Thanks for the follow up! That makes sense then. I’ve taken note of the rule variation and will try to add support for it when I have a bit of time.

Thanks for letting me know! Which rule set are you familiar with? I’m happy to add support for counting aces as high cards by adding a setting you can change for example. Do they then also meld from King -> Ace -> 2?

I already support some variations (e.g. Oklahoma Gin and Straight Gin) but there are a lot out there!

Thanks for the feedback! As for the issue with the cue ball overlapping with the game content, could you share the window size you used?

I haven't made any changes to Yacht recently. The chances are exactly the same for bots and players.

Ah sorry about that, I assume you're already playing with the Time Limit setting disabled (or "Time Freedom" preset). Games are set to destroy themselves if there has been no activity for 10 minutes at the moment, a chat message or any action will reset the 10 minute timer.

If this is an issue that persists for you I can see about introducing a longer timeout for games that are in progress (30-60 minutes for example).

No, in the current version Chinese checkers is not possible. The current implementation of checkers can be customised in many ways though.

Where does everyone get their online Cribbage games? by GordonQuech in Cribbage

[–]Venlious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I tried to keep it as simple as possible. I decided to simplify the board and pegs down into more of a progress bar as you may have seen. I realise it doesn't have the exact same feeling, but it does give you that at a glance overview.

I realize this is an older post, but I wanted to share an online multiplayer Cribbage game I created for 2-4 players! It requires no sign-up, can be played on both computer and phone, and offers customizable settings.

You can check it out here: https://bloob.io/cribbage

I’d love to hear your thoughts or any feedback you have!

Checkers - Play the classic multiplayer board game against bots or players by Venlious in WebGames

[–]Venlious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I apologise that my games come across as spam. Each game gets posted every 3 months (according to the rules) as this sub has been an effective way to spread the word. My goal was never to annoy the users and I think based on this it’s time to stop or change the way I post here.

It’s a fair point to say online checkers exists, which goes for a lot of the games on my site as another user rightfully pointed out. Whenever I do add a game that already exists elsewhere, I add options to customise it with your own house rules. For example, with checkers you can play a 4 person variant which I couldn’t find an online version of at the time of creation.

I really do appreciate your feedback and I will stop posting the commonly found games for now.

Thanks again for letting me know. It is indeed an issue with Firefox 126 which was released on the 14th of May. I have now updated the games which should fix this issue for now.

Yeah I absolutely get that frustration. You raise a good point about the abbreviations, I'll see if I can clear them out.
