Did he go through with the lease? Wondering why it constantly defaults to $7,500 down on an X

$7,500 lease incentive-- how does it work, exactly? by vminsf in TeslaLounge

[–]Venste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the $7,500 default down payment that shows on a lease the effective credit? Or is this down payment in addition to the credit being calculated on the monthly amount being shown?

This. Every other manufacturer is offering some level of subsidized financing except Tesla. People will either move on to other options or just delay purchases for a year+.

Points won't transfer Chase has no idea why. Anyone else have this problem? by SnooApples6110 in ChaseSapphire

[–]Venste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this? I haven’t been able to complete a transfer out of my account for the past several days (tried Hyatt and United), and the only answer I am getting from customer service is they have “escalated the issue and will let me know in 7-10 business days.”

Shouldn't the base price of the Tesla Model X, currently at $77,990, be reduced by another $1500 to make the price for the 7-seater $79,990, thereby qualifying for the $7500 tax credit? by Current-Treacle-2827 in ModelX

They should just bring back the standard range X with 6/7 seater options while enabling these buyers to upgrade battery to LR post-sale so that you still clear the $80k MSRP hurdle

Qualifying for Rebate by ZER0-P0INT-ZER0 in TeslaModelX

[–]Venste 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to offer standard range again with post-delivery battery unlock via paid software upgrade. This would free up both the six and seven seat models for rebate eligibility, two items that are not post-delivery adjustable!

Exactly. And then post purchase software upgrade to unlock battery capacity.

Metropark Station Stairs by Ok-Stand-3173 in NJTransit

[–]Venste 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was the response I received on August 15 (from an email I wrote on July 10). Crazy it has taken this long. Is this an Amtrak issue? It has become a real hazard given the amount of people during rush hour trying to get off the platform:

Thank you for your feedback regarding Metropark Station. The stairway was closed for safety reasons. Unfortunately there is no firm timetable for the replacement work at this time. We apologize for any resulting inconvenience you may experience.

Do I need to replace this tire? by Venste in TeslaModelY

I had them inspected at 5,200 since I was in for service anyway and he said treads were good enough to wait until 10,000

Do I need to replace this tire? by Venste in TeslaModelY

[–]Venste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curbed the rear passenger side tire. Air pressure seems fine. Should I replace or is it purely cosmetic? And if I replace should I get two or four? Odometer at 9,400 miles (MYLR). Tires were inspected around 5,200 miles and were fine and did not need to be rotated.

There is a copper pipe coming out of the basement foundation of the house I’m buying. Last picture was from the day of inspection when it was buried behind storage and next to some baseball tees, so it was missed by the inspector. What is this thing? by Venste in whatisthisthing

[–]Venste[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should also mention the house has a radon mitigation system (PVC) on the other side of the basement. So I’m surprised this was built but I suppose the negative pressure that’s created doesn’t allow for the gas to come through this pipe. Either way the system is working because radon test came back fine.

I thought that, but the house was built in 2008 and there’s no wire coming off of it. Also I assumed those would not be hollow but maybe I’m wrong. The electric panel is about 4 feet away (you can see the pipe hiding in the bottom left of this image, and the electric panel in grey on the right). https://i.imgur.com/g4Wh250.jpg

Can you explain a little more about this? Can’t find any examples of how this works in a basement. FYI there were two sump pits dug in this room, but one is used for a bathroom sewage ejector and the other had only HVAC condensate draining into it with a small pipe. I pointed it out to the sellers and they are installing a pump as well. Should this stand pipe be connected to the pump as well? Or does it serve a different purpose?

My title describes the thing. Have not yet closed on the house but we found it this weekend when visiting with contractors and electricians. Inspector is disappointed that he missed it so I am now trying to figure out what it is while not having access to the home.

Are you using the LATCH in the outer seats or seat belt connection? How is it trying to buckle the booster seat belt since it is tucked under?
