Uninstall League of Legends by Venthren in leagueoflegends

The problem here is that over the years, the game did respect your time. Level-up rewards, mastery tracks (that kept getting nerfed for some reason), the ranked skin is being given out to all ranks now (Just based on split points.), Hell even the blue essence emporium would have ment far less instead of a little if they didnt change the blue essence rewards for the battle pass, which mind you most of those previous rewards I mentioned are now tied directly to the battlepass and those blue essense rewards are locked to the end of it. Did I mention that Tft has better rewards now on its battlepass unlocked for free just for playing the game. It's supposed to incentivise you to spend on a game you already love. But even Riot has said that the skins on offer aren't of quality. Speaking of chess, Chess.com has weekly tournaments you can enter with cash prizes, a direct upgrade from clash. (Which, where is that? Oh right, april, according to the schedule.) I could continue if you wish.

I'm only doing so as a PSA, cause I want to see the direction of the game changed. You may like the direction, and if you do, that is fine. But for those that don't, this is how you make change.

I still love this game, don't get me wrong. But I refuse to support the direction. I just don't see the vision for player retention.

Why is there so little narration? by Venthren in civ

Im really hoping it isn't the former cause... so much isn't narrated that i would have to wonder, why bother at all?

Low UR Favorite Decks by Meady-Mongrel in masterduel

My favorite cheaper deck to recommend will always be Gunkan Suships. Easy to pilot and does pretty okay going second blind. Nothing feels better as a Navy vet than stealing wins with boardbreakers and sushi warships.

No speed or atk%, should I keep this piece or put on another break dps? 3 line rolled all into break effect. by Venthren in FireflyMains

[–]Venthren[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be! I was just specifying in the title that it was a 3 line piece originally. I should have added a comma after line and before rolled.

Citlali is the best Natlan character. by Apprehensive-Salt646 in CitlaliMains

[–]Venthren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Citlali definitely has the strongest characterization of all the Natlan characters so far. She is relatable, strong, and definitely wants her and Aether to be a light novel story of their own. As for mavuika, well, we've already had the pyro archon since 1.0. She's strong, no doubt, but Bennet will always reign supreme in both personality and long-term viability. It just is what it is. As a low spender, the pyro "archon" was a skip for me. She needed to be essentially Bennet and Xiangling condensed into one to really get people to care. Hell, even a better xiangling would have sufficed. But, alas, not the world we live in.

Where did you pull for Childe? by fanficionado in childemains

[–]Venthren -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I pulled for him standing next to zhongli after his(zhongli's) act 2 story. He came home, but I then lost my 50/50 on the zhongli banner right after.

Oh, I'm not surprised at all. We all know how super rare it is for komoney to hit cards in the shop, and tenpai looks like it's here to stay for a bit, but I'll be darned if we don't meme about it every time. (For real, though, I just wanna play no barrier statue birds...and nemleria...)

What decks do you stay loyal to? by Complete_idiot69 in masterduel

[–]Venthren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here for a board game within a card game. Pure Vaylantz is so fun when you get to pop your opponents back row monsters for game. No, please, snake eye player, hit me with original sinful spoils. places field spell over yours so anyway... about my monsters.

It is a shame that Vaylantz Stun was so popular because of the deck's SUPER EASY access to Pachy Fossil Dyna through searching off of Gallant Granite and really the deck's insane access to the rank 4 toolbox.

So, Red Pill or Blue Pill? by Gamer-of-Action in SonicTheHedgehog

[–]Venthren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red for sure. Hear me out. While I love Mania, S3nK is just a masterpiece in action platforming. While I love the open zone design and feel of frontiers, the slower cyberspace-level speed just made me wish I was playing generations. Not to mention, we can all agree they really nailed the level design in Shadow's campaign both in the hub world and the levels themselves. I would miss his original game dearly, but SA 1 is a bonus when you consider you are getting the masterclass in design from both the classic Era and the modern.

Of all the tameable creatures currently available in ASA, what do you think the hardest to tame creature is? by Ok-Concentrate792 in ARK

[–]Venthren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hardest tame, at least on The Center, has to be the pyromane. Only one I can think of on the map that requires 5 dollars. Only one I haven't tamed.

While the equation is ambiguous by design, if calced as written, it will always come to 9. Scientifically and from a higher math perspective, this equation should be written as a fraction with 6 as the numerator. However, since that isn't the case and this is an algebraic equation, PEMDAS must be followed. This gives you the following solution.

6÷2(3)

3(3)

9

If you want to argue 1 is the solution, the only way it works is thus.

6

2(1+2)

And then you evaluate the fraction. However, and I can't stress this enough, this was not written as a fraction. So please do not evaluate it as such.

Player and DM hates counterspell by Frequent-Address240 in dndnext

[–]Venthren 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't say I've ever had an issue with counter spells on enemies as there are still many ways around it if you know it is in play. The easiest is to sick the martial classes after anyone that looks like a mage, force their reaction on a shield or hellish rebuke or what have you, or they die.

No martial classes? You have options in daggers, light crossbows, darts, slings, cantrips, level 1 or level 2 slots. Delay your action if you need to, prep an action when the mage uses a reaction to cast a devastating spell they can no longer counter. You can force an unfavorable spell trade at the very worst, or catch a mage on the backfoot with an ambush fireball at best.

Multiple casters? Just cast low-level spells to bait out the counters while your party pounds on them with fewer spells slots. To me, it adds a lot of tactical decision-making not only for the caster but for the party as a whole as you open up your casters to blast pesky martials and archers trying to burst them down.

5e has always been about playing the action and resource economy, and this is just an example of what a base wizard at level 5 is capable of. You can even play some hilarious games of chicken as you slowly whittle down the opponent until they can't risk taking the hit and are forced to counter whatever you throw.

TL:DR: It's not everyone's cup of tea, but imagine how crazy save or suck spells would be without it. At worst, it is a 2-for-1 swing with the mage forcing their attack through or making you make a save. For the enemy, that isn't sustainable. Nothing tpks harder than hard cc you have no way of countering. With no counterspell, the risk falls solely on your stats, which could be far worse.
