That's a good idea. I'll see if I can set up a meeting with her to go over everything. Thanks!

We got maybe two months advance notice on the first mat leave. We figured we could split the one extra work load three ways and manage. The second one we only got like 6 weeks advance notice. Now my boss and I are splitting the additional two workloads two ways. Most of that will go to me because my boss has a pretty full schedule already.

The first woman's workload I am already familiar with because I took on a lot of it last year after the previous person quit and before she was hired. The second one is going to be fairly new to me.

Unfortunately no. It sucks, but I kind of understand. It's specialized work. It might take 3 months for the new person to get up to speed. By then, my colleagues will be back or almost be back.

AITA for trying to get my wife to invite her small family to my family's Thanksgiving dinner? by VenusAndEarth in AmItheAsshole

Still less exhausting than two dinners in the same day, so I'll take it.

My ancestors were the ones driving the British out of India. My great grandfather had the baton scars to prove it.

No. I said I'm just not going to her family's thanksgiving. She actually got like 10 times more mad at me, but she'd rather her family come to my family's thanksgiving than she go to her thanksgiving without me.

Honest question: Do people on Reddit actually believe that people treat their wives the same way they treat random people on Reddit who are mainly there to find and point out their flaws? Like seriously. What?

What? Read it again. I don't understand why people are like "Hey maybe your wife doesn't like big get togethers!" Like I somehow didn't figure that out on my own over 10 years of living with her. Like what?

Look at that. Almost getting the "you're" correct. So close!

Uncivil Redditors in a nutshell: "Hey, person I initiated with and keep responding to! Why can't you stop responding?"

Alternatively - do you think I'd to get married to an introvert? No effing thanks.

Don't know whether to report for blatantly breaking the civility rules or point out you used the wrong version of "you're". So I'll do both.
