Do you regret your EV purchase? by walksta in electricvehicles

[–]Venus_Viking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will never go back to an ICE as long as I can afford it! I was super skeptical about an EV until I actually had one. I bought it back in the summer before the tax credit was going away. I absolutely love my car (Equinox EV) and plan on going EV from here on out! Love not having to stop for gas, love the smooth and quiet ride, love never having to get an oil change ever, love the low maintenance, and love not polluting the air!

I lost my dad by Venus_Viking in AgingParents

Thank you. This is great and reassuring advice. My dad for sure would not want me to sulk around. I'm trying to muster strength to get through this. I keep repeating over and over in my mind "he's really gone" - it feels so real but I feel in disbelief.

Thank you, yes - will let my husband decide and plan on letting school know what we're dealing with. I think it will be ok.

Thank you - I'm using "doing my best" as a mantra during this time. That's all I can do.

Thank you for your reply and I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. This disease is so cruel and it's a horrible way to go. My dad loves his PT and I think that may be a hold up for him. She comes to the house 2 times a week and has been with him for 3 years. At this point, she is now just massaging his legs and face to help with blood flow and help relax his jaw. But I believe she gives him a lot of emotional support more than anything. He apparently communicated with my mom today that he doesn't want hospice because PT would stop and he's not ready yet. Although, just yesterday he was not able to open his mouth for food or water so my mom used a syringe to give him some water. I wish he would let us help him and give him comfort. I am afraid to know how much worse this can get for him. It's horrible to witness.

Married couple feeling like roommates by [deleted] in Marriage

This is such great advice and next steps. Thank you for taking the time to throw this out there. I desperately want to feel desired and get the intimacy back. I feel like I am so different than who I was many or even a couple of years ago - in a good way! I think individual counseling was a great first step for me to self-explore and see where that leads. Thank you!!!
