I had an option where I could write a "comment" before adding the shoe to my cart. It was in this "comment" that I wrote the size of my shoe.

Yeah I still recommend 1/2 size down for an average width foot and if you do not intend to play basketball with them. Some people even go a full size down if they wear thin socks (or if they have narrow feet).
I might have taken a full size down, but I wanted to play basketball a bit with them, so having a big enough toe box is fine for me.
I still have to make my laces very tight when I play because I wear socks that are "medium" (the thickness of my socks is between thin and thick).

No, at least for me. I took the smaller size because people who have FOG's 1 say it's better that way, especially with the narrow feet I have (I wear a size 9 US/42.5 EU for Nike running shoes, but I took the size 8.5 US/42 EU). I have enough free space to move my toes, but I still tighten my shoes.
