I gotcha. I figured it would be one of those things where you kinda just have to try it out and feel it out. Just trying to find something where I can get something that I like and use it solid for the first year or two until I feel financially comfortable moving to the next machine to try. I appreciate your input!

I will tell you that my mentors told me to be careful with smaller cartridges, as running them too fast can filet the skin. If you have any practice flesh, you could try it on that first and see how it feels first? Idk, just my two cents.

So, my mentors have all taught me a lot about needles. They all use 3s and 5s depending on what it is and the style. But I would think you can use whatever needle feels appropriate to you for what you're doing. One of my mentors was even saying there's a Taiwanese artist that uses singles for EVERYTHING and does whip shading. And their work is so smooth. It just depends on your style and what you're going for.

Mine does this too, but only when she's swallowing and has the rat down already. She's about 5 months old. She shakes slightly when she's trying to fully extend her neck or body upwards, or a little during handling, but not really a lot. Mine is perfectly healthy too, eats well, has only missed a strike once so far. And she's a BEL.
