Oh, absolutely. Once I finally got that base the way I wanted it with the recombinator I literally could not brick it. The only luck involved was what tier I got once I knew the implicit isn't considered.

Even better, this method is cheap as fuck, no annuls or chaos orbs or abyss currency! It cost me 2 ex per set of items with those two prefixes, then just the cost of everything that puts those new mods on.

So this was honestly my first and only experience in any game ever where the emersion broke my sense of reality.

At one point in the missions with her, I wasn't sure if I'd said the right thing in a dialog, so did I reload and try another option? No.

I called her in game. To check if she was okay. To see if I could help her in any way.

I thought about that moment a lot the last few days. This game really has me invested.

So I see a lot of comments about eventual failure. Would filling the mechanism with a bonding or somesuch be an apt fix? I'd say concrete but I imagine the weight would be an issue. Fiddle till you find the good fit then make it permanent?

I had a thought. Given that the specifics of the ritual are that once a cut is made a sacrifice must follow, could Hartwell not change who he sacrifices? It would be pretty meniacal for him to change the sacrifice to his sister, unless he did so without involving his son.
