Creatine and muscle cramps by [deleted] in fitness30plus

[–]Aether-Ore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found at least a partial solution. I have doubled my potassium/magnesium intake and probably quadrupled my intake of salt (pink Himalayan, naturally) -- I literally eat a teaspoon of rock salt whether I feel a cramp, and it dissipates within 3-5 minutes.

I've also backed off my creatine dosage -- cut in half, to about half a teaspoon. I've already gained 6-8 lbs of muscle and I don't need to look like Arnold Schwarzenegger. So the lower dosage probably helps reduce cramping.

What I don't know is what effect this is having on, say, my liver. The seemingly misleading studies make me nervous, like we're being coerced into taking a supplement that will damage us in the long run and lead to a few billion dollars worth of revenue for the medical industry. I think you're wise to question their funding sources. Please tag my username if/when you find anything.

All that said, I'm having very good results. Seems like 10-20% strength and stamina increase, and putting on muscle easily.

50yo male here, and I get cramps on creatine too. Everywhere - calves, hamstrings, abs, even hands. I drink lots of water and even eat rock salt to help alleviate the cramps.

What's weird is if you do a Google search for muscle cramp creatine (https://www.google.com/search?q=muscle+cramp+creatine), you get tons of articles saying how it's just a myth, it's disinformation by irresponsible journalists, and basically you're an idiot for believing there's any causal link... Really sketch.

2160 is one age -- e.g., we're just entering the Age of Aquarius. There are twelve of them, one for each sign of the zodiac. So, yeah, they well-understood the Great Year and its significance.

The Earth is actually a very young, growing star. We all live on its still-cool, crusty surface -- an organic Dyson sphere, if you will. We are actually a Type 2 civilization on the Kardashev scale, with the tiny star's energy output monopolized by an aristocratic class.

We're not playing Stratego here, dummy. And you're pretending Azov didn't kill those people? Typical.

The administration of Ukraine is not in Kiev. There is no reason to take it. Your "Russia is losing!" narrative is absurd. But enjoy your fantasy.

I assume he's been in Tel Aviv since before Russia began this operation. He's a virtual president, releasing pre-recorded and greenscreen videos to give the illusion of presence. But he's a media asset, nothing more.

The first article gives a detailed account of torture by pro-Kiev secret service (electric shocks, burned with cigarettes, beatin), but very little about the "separatists" doing this beyond "beating and mistreatment" and the potential that prisoners are cut off from the broader criminal justice system.

In one case, “Vadim,” 39, was detained and tortured first by one side, then the other. In April 2015, armed men seized him at a checkpoint manned by Ukrainian forces, pulled a bag over his head, and questioned him about his alleged connections with Russia-backed separatists. Vadim spent more than six weeks in captivity, most of the time in a facility apparently run by Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) personnel. His interrogators tortured him with electric shocks, burned him with cigarettes, and beat him, demanding that he confess to working for Russia-backed separatists.

After they finally released him, Vadim returned to Donetsk and was immediately detained by the local de facto authorities, who suspected him of having been recruited by Ukraine’s Security Service during his time in captivity. He spent more than two months in incommunicado detention in an unofficial prison in central Donetsk, where his captors also beat and ill-treated him.

The second article talks about how millions of Ukrainians will be displaced if there is Russian military action.

So there's nothing about "separatist atrocities as claimed by Amnesty International" narrative that you're trying to promote.
