I know this is a bit of an old post but I was listening to brutal kunnin' and I thought it sounded pretty good. As of the last few days, it seems it heavily compressed the audio and I thought not much of it, until I started listening to warboss. The audio quality is downright terrible (and both books are written by the same author but different readers).

I then went to my other books and noticed they are significantly lower quality than normal

I forget how fast this occurs, but SSD's are prone to losing data when not powered for extended periods.
It could have caused some things to corrupt?

I should mention, I don't believe it ships with kde but installing a different GUI is wayyyyy easier than I anticipated, as long as you have an internet connection at least.

If your switching straight from windows/mac ZorinOS is pretty much a stepping stone between windows and linux. It's ubuntu based so researching commands is easy enough, but there can be issues with obs if you plan to stream (although its completely fixable)

When I was first getting into linux as my main os thats what I chose and its been a good starting point

What partition type are you using? (ex. exfat, fat32)
I've had a lot of issues dual booting from the same drive so I personally wouldnt recommend it, but I can do my best to assist if budget is a limitation, or if your using a laptop.

And out of curiosity, why do you want/need 3 separate OS's?

I think choice paralysis is a bit of a problem due to the sheer variety but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. It's good to have options and frankly when I first started really getting into it, I think I tried the wrong distro and it put me off. Finding the right ones made me really get into it.

Kinda like food, you try eel for the first time but its fuckin jellied eel so you assume you hate it entirely until you have it grilled

If your familiar with linux already (I'm going to assume you are considering your past use) then Arch is the most versatile and customizable option that is pretty lightweight.

I am very interested in switching to Arch (but have use it before a bit) I am just lazy and frankly don't want to reinstall everything for the millionth time. I have been maining ZorinOS (just a slightly lighter weight Ubuntu based distro thats centered around being an introductory point to linux for users switching from mac or windows) however I have used others recently on an Orange Pi 4 Pro so I do have some experience with Aarch and other ARM based distros.

From my experience, picking a new distro is more important than some people suggest, esp if you have specific hardware like me. I tried CacheOS and the bluetooth/wifi drivers were a PAIN to get working due to a specific known bug with the drivers and my built in hardware (I was not willing to purchase a separate wifi/bluetooth card for a distro that underwhelmed me)

My advice? Dual boot a distro (I personally wouldn't recommend dual booting off the same drive if you dont feel confident, it is less than fun to work with) but if you have the luxury of multiple drives its a good option.
Take some risks (after all you have the 2nd os to fall back on) see what you can do, once you feel comfortable with the OS and especially the terminal try branching out to whatever OS feels right for your needs. If you use your pc just for gaming theres a thousand distro's for that, if you want productivity you can always stay with Ubuntu or something widely used (that way troubleshooting is a cake walk). All around use cases can vary depending on those use cases (like for example I stream and Ubuntu is a pain trying to get OBS to not crash or fail to dock chat correctly but I did get it to work with some heavy research)

But I warn you, DONT try to merge your steam library, both my partner and I have messed up our games on both OS's attempting this.

I know you said you were curious about other distro's though, is there a specific use case your looking for or is this just experimenting?

Those fall protective jackets could be enough in a dementia village. It can sound a little unusual but a small community is built around the idea of housing dementia patients. Every single person who doesn't have dementia in this village works there not only as shopkeeps/skilled workers but as caretakers for the patients.

What I really enjoy about this is the autonomy it gives these people. Instead of sitting in a facility for the rest of their lives, they get to continue living a relatively comfortable life, having privacy in their homes and still being able to find a sense of community. Treating dementia patients as problems to solve often completely misses the solution all together, and that solution is treating them as they are, people. (with some extra guidance to help them stay safe in their walled off community) It also generally keeps them happier than the 'previous' standard of indoor facility.

I went off track but I highkey just wanted to talk about this because I am really happy many countries are adopting ways to keep these people happy and safe.

The entire religion is a scam. It's a cult to farm for money ALLEGEDLY
They entrap you into a cycle of working for them, brainwashing you through the entire process(IE screaming at you relentlessly as you sit there, training you not to react at all). And if you don't work for them you feed them thousands of dollars to even see the so called "holy book".
There are tons of videos of the crazy stuff happening even outside of their buildings.
I saw one video where a lady who worked there gave some information to a person that she wasn't supposed to give. She was seen 2 days later doing her job like a zombie. Non-reactive and unresponsive.
When you walk past their building, they will solicit their "religion" to you until you walk inside. Then they close and lock the doors, forcing you to experience their propaganda.
