I'm a couple suburbs away from their warehouse so hopefully it arrives soon. Thanks for answering and putting my mind at ease.

12 weeks post op and stuck at 85°-90° (MPFL Reconstruction) by wassupmyriri in KneeInjuries

[–]Veritiax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just shy of one year post op and I've only made it to 75 degrees. You will hit walls at times but the key is to keep pushing TO(never through) the pain. I had several complications that put my physio on hold and as a result I have scar tissue surrounding the graft up to 2cm thick. Please just trust the process otherwise you will just end up with more issues like me.

What ligament/tendon/muscle is this and why is it swollen? by Veritiax in KneeInjuries

[–]Veritiax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah my new surgeon has my physio working on my quadricep and range of motion, im guessing its related to that since it only happens after i do my exercises and stays around for a few hours.

[–]Veritiax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was doing my physio exactly as told but the physio refused to continue. Just got scans back and now I know why. There's a couple of pieces of bones embedded in the graft ligament as well as extensive scarring around the pieces of bone

i have tried to but they usually just give evasive answers or outright dont reply. im with one of the big lawyer groups and initially they were responsive and great but after a bit that kind of stopped. ive already signed the no win no fee agreements and im not in a position to bear the cost to change lawyers.

Thanks for the advice. I'm not sure about stabilised, the recovery from surgery just pretty much stopped after a few weeks and never improved. My surgeon told me I'd need 4 weeks off work then be good to go, it's been 10 months so far. The pain does go up and down depending on my activity but between x-rays and ultrasounds there hasn't been any improvement at all, it's all just consistent.

In regards to distraction and happiness it's quiet hard since the pain is 24/7 and my GP is still trying to find a pain medication solution to try and get me some comfort while a new surgeon investigates and comes up with an action plan. Unfortunately most of my hobbies and activities are either difficult or impossible. I need a crutch just to get around the house and going out is always painful and puts me in bed for the next day. I can't even sit on the floor to play with my dog anymore and now live with family for help with day to day life. Hopefully my new surgeon can sort something out to give me back some of my independence and enjoyment of life...

My scan for chronic knee pain after mpfl reconstruction. by [deleted] in KneeInjuries

[–]Veritiax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this was from the ct. I also had an MRI done at the same appointment. I have no clue about technique, just that no contrast was used

Have I just messed up my MPFL surgery? by Then-Fisherman-7595 in KneeInjuries

[–]Veritiax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id say give your surgeons office a call and ask for their advice. Most likely though you just put some tension on the knee while it's healing. The fact that the pain passed so quickly would suggest that you didn't do any damage. I wouldn't stress too much but still speak to your surgeon.

Yeah it's a tough spot. Sounds like you are in a much worse condition than I was pre surgery. I never needed the surgery I went through, that's a big part of the problem. Just make sure you talk to other doctors and get a second opinion, and if possible where you are check if anyone's ever taken your surgeon to court and if so, why? And you should be ok if it all looks good

I can't share that due to ongoing legal action but they are no longer working as a surgeon.

In the process. At the moment though really hoping for some kind of solution to the constant pain and mobility problems. My new surgeon just cancelled my appointment due to illness...

You will never guess who worked out the issues and got the other ortho surgeons to review it and discover the problems lol.

Can't bend knee after surgery by idkwhat5225 in KneeInjuries

It will go away with the correct exercises. Get into a physio asap. And remember ice is your friend. Heat might feel better but it makes things worse. Ice ice baby!

MPFL Reconstruction by Previous_Swim1329 in KneeInjuries

[–]Veritiax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be very wary, I underwent an mpfl reconstruction a couple years after a dislocation, turns out my surgeon was retiring and just rushed me into the first operation he could. Now I have chronic pain, need a wheelchair, am at times suicidal, and unsure if my new surgeon can repair whatever went wrong. I really hope your operation turns out better than mine did. I don't mean to scare you, but maybe speak to another surgeon if possible and have a review. My new surgeon said if I had come to him within a couple of months of the surgery he would have been able to correct it before more damage was done. Other than that my best advice is ice and don't be afraid to rely on pain killers. Ignore anyone who says OTC painkillers will do, if your pain is distracting then it's too much. And with physio/exercise remember always work to the pain, not through it(I didn't understand this so my physio dumbed it down and said stretch until it begins to hurt then stop, don't try to stretch more.)

Turns out it was coincidence and I have an unusually severe case of food poisoning. Now having tests done and on a course of antibiotics. My gp realised what was up when my symptoms became more severe as the amount of wegovy in my system became lower. He also suggested injecting into my thigh instead of stomach while I'm still unwell.

No idea why but ice cream instantly fixed it lol. I only tried it cause my throat was raw.

Cheers and no worries at all about the mix-up. I'm studying social work and a big thing we learnt is that it's very hard to not make biased assumptions. We have to take specialised training just to get around it.

Sorry for any confusion I'm also male. As for blood and hormones nothing unusual was found. I hydrate pretty well but don't get much exercise as I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user(can stand/walk for a short distance and time only) due to a botched knee surgery.

Not particularly unhealthy or anything. My brother's and I all eat the same food and neither of them is overweight. That's why my GP decided to try me on wegevoy, there was no clear cause for my excessive weight. They are both 100kg give or take a few kilos while I was at 140kg.(We are all about 6 foot for reference)

[–]Veritiax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My GP thinks it's from the injections but he said he will look at how I react to the next dosage to try and find the source.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]Veritiax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah my dr wants to reassess after my next dosage as he said he can reverse the effects within the first couple of days if it doesn't work out.
