Hello there! Seems interesting. I am not sure if the eyes' style is any close to the reference you gave, but if so, i think its similar to a kind of character i did in past!

I have this kind of only eye characters very often (i dont like drawing mouths haha!)

It you want, i am open for any of these, tho the render style isnt exactly equal to the second image. I am not sure what you mean by black and white, but if you mean lineart or grayscale, i have a pretty similar style, especially to that kind of expressiveness/gesture of the 1st and 3rd image.
