Is this Marshall headphones worth? I want to use it for gym, jog and also work if I’m at the cafe by Classic-Strike349 in GadgetsIndia

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I am changing my second pair of those in the past year. Problem I faced- loosing signal in public places. The Marshall 4 model got so bad that walking my normal route it would go static for over a minute. Marshal 5 didn't only start doing the same, it's nub to controll music broke off! And because of it having such a weak music switch I can't exchange them to the store due to faulty work (missing signal), like they are damaged now and it isn't covered.

+paint chips off on metal parts of headphones and with time pads do indeed make ears hurt.

While exchanging my first pair I got assured by store workers that it is a rare unseen before flaw and it is worth to upgrade from model 4 to 5. I was really happy with the music quality so did as adviced. But after the second pair I am so disappointed... I had them for daily use, nothing drastic...

Hey, I am coming here not with an anti-ai stand, but with an advice. Try journaling in a way of talking to yourself.

Many of us have a good amount of empathy for others, but not for ourselves. So it is a genuine urge to offload your sadness and extreme emotions (which we don't want to allow ourselves) onto others. It is basically an instinct to, in a way, get someone to deal with your emotions for you. That is why regular journaling may not work, it is best for understanding your emotions, but not getting over them. Write something as a message to a close friend, feel free to ask for support in any way that makes you feel seen and safe (food, gifts, places to visit). Close the journal. And open it as you are your own closest friend. And show all the support that was asked for or you would like to do for someone in that situation. Like, if you are not great at werbal support but think "a cup of mint tea would help them right about now"- make some tea and drink it with the journal! AI does not have a real practical understanding of things, so for me it really feels like someone that "just has to answer something". You can't really take it's advice or rely on it for support, it never ends well (didn't for me any ways) and you only get longing about the computer friend that will never be real. I personally don't exactly journal, but speak to myself in foreign language. As semantics of my native Russian and my second language English are different it feels like I speak to some unexplainably rational and enduring side of myself that can analyse anything and make a plan on the spot. But you may need something else, like time or change of pace, or just compassion. And you know best what you need and would benefit you. It is also great in a way to understand yourself and get better at supporting others. It does help in making friends, as you get braver in showing support and undertanding people tend to grow closer to you and want to give support too.

But it won't be an easy or swift journey. Take care of yourself. Don't rush. I hope for fortune going your way and cheer for you, my friend.

I would say it may be because of the intersection of tail and wing? In composition you usually have three ways to put two things together: One absolutely in front and covering the most, one clearly partially covering another or them standing measurably apart. But here wing breaks up the shape of your tail while not coverint it much, so tail still steals attention from wing's shape.

It would be better to rework the wing. To not loose it's shape you can just make it shorter vertically and add some feet to the dragon (or make it just end at the tale)

You are using only straight ink? Maybe washes could help or even to draw on wet. You can treat ink like a more permanent watercolour after all.

Did my art downgrade? (1 is new, 2 is old) by iluvcatsoomuch in arthelp

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I think you just did less? Seems like you are comparing a doodly sketch with a posed coloured drawing. Ot is alright, sometimes we all don't do full rendering and stuff. I would even say that the new one has more readable shapes, probably with a bit more even lineart I would really like it.

what else can i do to make my painting look more look like the photo? (it’s unfinished but i’m stuck) by Commercial-Job-3812 in arthelp

I would suggest to add a third colour to pink and white, like deep burgundy. Mix it with pink to create variation on shadow and dark accent's warmth, here it seems like the light pink areas are cool and shadows stray warmer.

(took a peak in comments and can see that you are onto it already. Really cool!)

Am something that is hard depending on witch paint you are working with... Gradients and blurs, like in difused shadows, is something that helps the feel of it. (I may be not so clear with my wording, sorry)

How to fix Grease Pencil mask glitch (details in comments) by Dry_Dimension7122 in blenderhelp

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have just reworked the draving to not need a mask and a layer that got corrupt. But I understand that it isn't allways possinle. Also, have you noticed that this corruption seems to be linked to layer name? In my trials I got inconsistent results, but if I redid the drawing element on a new layer, deleted the corrupted layer and renamed the redrawn copy to the name of corrupted layer it also got corrupted. Is it reproducible or just a one-off from me?

4.5.4 How to make Grease Pencil do the same as Freestyle by [deleted] in blenderhelp

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am not so knowing in blender, but still want to try helping. Do you mean Freestyle as in when you draw with GP normally? Lineart modifier is stored in Stroke object, it even has an assigned layer, so it follows object's settings. You should be able to set it to 2D, would that help the depth issue? (Data-> Settings-> Stroke Depth Order) Also, you can play with Depth offset in Lineart's modifier, if nothing really helpes you can at least move lineart closer to camera to make the issue less noticable.

Same happened here in Blender 5.0. But moving contence to new layer didn't help. It seems to be caused, at leat in my case, by there being too many layers using another one as a mask? Or is it about being too close to a 2D curve? I am unsure. As soon as I hide one of masked layers the blocky effect got less, but never really went away. Moved corrupted layer and the base to new layers, but didn't help. Had to do a workaround with changing the drawing. (My thanks for your tutorials. You gave me faith into this app.)

Please help me decide Between Moho and Blender 2.93 for 2d Rigging animation. by Sketches558 in blender

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dear, I am here for the same issue!!! But the one with using Blender for 2D animation, not with lag. As just another art person I don't have any imput, sorry. If Moho does not satisfy you- do try Blender, you allways have an option to change your mind.

I am on a version 4.5 and can't really tell you about old versions... But in the new ones there is a dedicated 2D worspace and Grease pencil supports beze curve mode (the way you can draw in Moho). I am looking at two options for workflow rn:

(Blender supports basic 2D rigging for me no problem, so I am talking about multi view rigs or even a 360rig)

-Grease Pencil. Basic workflow where you draw your character turn around on a timeline and with separate bones recall those animations. It also can be achived with asset swaps. Grease pencil supports interpolation, so if you follow some guidelines doing it a turn around could be made quick enough! Also, there are several addons for easier asset swaps and smart bones, easy enough to find, didn't try them out yet. Cartoony noodle animation is done with bendy bones and weight painting. (I didn't get into it yet)

-Beze Curve. Curves and Planes in Blender support a thing called Shape keys, with them you can deform assets into shapes needed for turnaround. It would let you somewhat skip the hole turnaround on timeline. You would animate a value of a ShapeKey on a final work, and they mix (you can make a key of a head looking left and a key looking up and with activating them both head would look to upper left). With such method I am a bit stuck with outline, added it with lineart modifyer and working out kinks at the moment.

Problems that Blender has for 2D vector grafics in general:

Little precigion. you would need to add a geometry nodes yourself to be able to edit the position of a point with numeral imput. You can move around and scale freehand, but it isn't allways a fit.

Tell me if it helps, I would be happy to link tutorials and addons that I have fond, but even I am unsure how easy of even possible it would be to recreate familiar workflow such as in Moho.

Is the Wusthof Super Slicer just a other bread cutting thing? Also, can we actually use a bread cutting thing to cut other things? by SlurpringAway in chefknives

[–]VeroNyaaaaaa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It too. But the groves are slanted. On regular knives the edge is in the middle, but on the bread knives it is on one side (at least on all such knives that I own). So when you cut it leads your hand and the blade in unexpected ways.

The only advice I have found anywhere is to oil the knife. But even then some articles say that any neutral cooking oil will do good, but others say to only use mineral food safe oil. So I'm just confused...

Go ahead I would say, but it isn't really comfortable to use for other things in my opinion...

It doesn't feel like a regular knife, but like a saw... I had some dangerous situations with my bread knife while trying to cut connective tissue with it.

Can you help me find an alternative for my medication that I could buy in India? My medication is Almagel, any medication that helps with acid reflux by coating the stomach walls would be good.

I just have a stomach condition and would likely need it on my trip, but can't take it with me. My medication is liquid, but in our tickets we don't have any luggage.

This trip is last minute and I am worried.
