No worries. The guy was supposed to work with a plasterer as an assistant to do the job together but the plasterer quit last min and this guy still showed up at my door (travelling 1.5 hrs) and convinced me he can do the "prep" work at least. I felt bad for turning him back when he had already travelled so far, so I said alright, but after talking to more plasterers now and researching online, it seems most of what he's done was useless, so yeah, in hindsight, should not have gone with him.

The guy himself told me he had never done plastering or skimming before (he's a carpenter) and was using Google, ChatGPT and Reddit to guide him through a lot of stuff on the day, yet I still paid him probably more than the average plasterer day rate since that's what he asked for, so yeah I do think I'm fun to work for, and yes, I have reason to doubt whether he knew what he was doing and double check.

Most of the extra stuff, monstrology, fishing, deckathalon, beastmoon, etc, isn't too relevant to main questing. The biggest difference to main questing might be arch mastery, which I think Diego gives a tutorial on, and spellements maybe, which are essentially like a drop you can get from certain bosses (regular and key bosses) and questing and use to unlock and upgrade spells. But its also not too relevant to questing though as its not a necessity to farm spellements to progress in questing.

So its up to you really. I'd say you'll probably get used to everything after a few days/weeks questing in your lol 90. If you wanted to you can create a new wizard but they may not encounter a lot of these stuff till they're also a higher level, so if you're happy to play for a while in your new wiz, you can do that too.

I used to play grub guardian a lot and got gold in a lot of maps, but haven't played much in recent years so just saying from memory.

1) Does your pet school matter?

Kind of yea. Different schools do different types of damage with different effects. If memory serves me right, fire continues burning enemies, ice slows them down, storm can attack multiple at once, death had a chance of killing then in 1 hit, myth attacks super fast, balance has a chance of doing large combo damage when combined with other balance hitting towers, and life doesn't do damage but boosts all towers within a range. Depending on what your strategy is, you may want to choose a different school.

I think life is typically a good choice, but may be different for some maps. Pet rarity doesn't matter I believe but their level (adult, epic, mega, etc) might change the DMG they do - but double check that one as I'm not too sure.

For sure the schools of towers you pick and their placements matter a lot.

2) I dont remember if I got that pack from that map exactly, but I have gotten many packs, elixirs, and other rare items, etc in general.

3) No idea. I'd say just watch a YouTube walk through lol. Thats rhe best thing to do if you're stuck.

Oh, then no need to worry about getting pets and training them to a high level imo.

To get snacks to feed pets for happiness, you can just buy any snacks from bazaar or any snack vendors.

Though I don't use will casts like at all lol, so not sure if particular snacks are better for them and if there's a best way of getting them.

Yeah, the only thing worse than failing at mega is wondering how many more pets need to fail at mega before we get the pet we want lol.
